I have to say this has been a hobby since I was 11-12. I also have worked sound and lights fro concerts for the last 10 years. There are so many shows not listed. Im sure I have left a few good ones off, but people like Def Leppard, Dokken, Great white, Steve Miller, I have left off to not emberass myself.

Woohoo, what a list ! Lucky you !!!

  3. I don't actually know :O xDD I think it's Cardiff though, for my step-brothers birthday
  4. Ive seen U2 three times and the only other gig I have attended was Foo Fighters.
  5. Add to my list: Barenaked Ladies.

They were alright, definitely missing the 'cool' voice of the co-lead singer who left the band. Free concert. Can't beat the price.
  6. Adding to my list:

    CRANBERRIES....
  7. add to my list Matisyahu, The Big Pink, and Company of Thieves (If you haven't heard of them- look out for them- a very great local Chicago band that is blooming)

  9. I'll copy and paste my review of the John Mayer Battle Studies Tour closing show in Chicago last night...unbelieveable. Leaves me breathless just thinking about it.

Bar U2, this was the best show I've ever seen in my life. I seriously don't know what else to say about it. YouTube some of the videos or whatever...I wish I could relive this night over and over and over again. The setlist was amazing- opening with my two favorite JM songs BACK TO BACK, and not playing a single song I didn't know, in addition to completely shredding on his guitar pretty much all night, IN ADDITION to covering "Don't Stop Believin'" right in the middle of "Half of My Heart". What a night.

    Heartbreak Warfare
Good Love is On the Way
    Vultures
    No Such Thing
    Perfectly Lonely
    Assassin
    Stop This Train
    Free Falling
Waiting on the World to Change
    Belief
    Bigger Than My Body
    Half of My Heart
    Don't Stop Believin
    Why Georgia
    [ENCORE BREAK]
    Who Says
    Gravity

I seriously can't think of anything else to say. Completely blown away. If you have not seen John Mayer live, you have not lived.

    Best Parts:

-Those opening, bass-thumping notes of Heartbreak Warfare, as the little "curtain" opened and JM stood there rocking out, and the place erupted when he started singing
-Heartbreak Warfare leading directly into Good Love, without any sort of break
    -BIGGER THAN MY BODY!
    -Don't Stop Believing
    -Free Falling
-The crowd singing most of the end of Why Georgia

    Quotes of the evening:

"So I'm in the dressing room before the show- which is actually the visiting team's locker room when there's a game here- and I'm standing next to John washing my hands...and I looked at him and said, 'I wonder how many people have stood here...and looked in this mirror...and said...'Im'a get my ass kicked by Michael Jordan tonight."
    -Michael Franti

"Ever wish your life was a musical? I do. Like, when I pay with exact change, I sort of imagine everything breaking out into song, and they all sing, "Change, change, he's got change!"
    -John Mayer

"I think the sex between us tonight is about to get really hot."
    -John Mayer

"We specifically routed the tour so that it could end here. In Chicago."
    -John Mayer

[As the intro to "Assassin" plays, the lights turn off and John Mayer sneaks around stage, barely visible]
"Can you hear me? If you can hear me....you still can't see me. Cause there you go. I took my fuckin' eyes off you for ONE SECOND...and you were gone" ["Assassin" starts]
    -John Mayer
