Thanks yeah, and thanks Q magazine - you both give us hope. Looks like the band may still be alive after all!
  2. Should we get ready for a whole bunch of new album stories which aren't true, considering it's April 1st or not?
  3. Ofcourse they're alive. It took them 4 years to come with NLOTH so give 'em some time. A false promise of a late 2009 release last year just pissed everyone off. Just be realistic. They had a big tour, with new legs coming and besides all that they wanna see their family, need to work on an album, Edge is working on pissing the Californians off and Bono still has to save the world. It ain't easy.

  4. Good point.

If U2 annouce anything tomorrow, I won't believe it.

Agreed. And I've never seen an album (of any band for that matter) that was released on the promised dates. They're always posponed. Sometimes not only for months but for years.

Hmm, perhaps an early april fools?
  7. Can yo believe there's been no news on Songs of Ascent since the 15th of January

Its looking very doubtful for a 2010 release, lets be honest....

But if it was 2010, it would be great because then they could do best of 2000-2010 with 4 albums...

I don't think they're going to release a 2000-2010 Best Of. They don't have (good) enough songs to work it out. I hope they don't do it.

Just what we need, another "Best of..." from U2.

  10. It's alright. Elvis had like 20, so U2 will have about that number as well. U218 Singles was terrible IMO, bad setlist.

  11. At least U2 haven't switched labels 5 times that have each forced them to put one out, like some bands, where you end up with 5 Best Of CD's with essentially the same tracklisting. And they all somehow have terrible cover art, I don't know why this happens...
