1. Quote on the bottom of U2Start for me just now:

"Hawkmoon's my favorite, the last few seconds of that scare the shit out of me. And God Part II, the Edge's guitar." - Bono on Rattle & Hum

    THEN PLAY IT LIVE AGAIN.

  2. I'd love to hear those songs again, but they wouldn't really fit with the new songs methinks. MAYBE God Part 2, but not hawkmoon. I've always said God Part 2 would've been spot on with the MirrorBall Man character, so I'm surprised it never even showed up on zoo

I think Hawkmoon fits perfectly fine.
  4. I've made up a setlist which isn't quite finished but it's almost complete

    1. Breathe
    2. Get on Your Boots
    3. I Will Follow
    4. Gone
    5. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    6. Until The End of the World
    7. Magnificent
    8. Beautiful Day
    9. No Line on the Horizon
    10. Elevation
    11. Unknown Caller
    12. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    13. FEZ - Being Born | or The Unforgettable Fire
    14. Mofo
    15. City of Blinding Lights
    16. Vertigo
    17. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    18. Pride (in the Name of Love)

    19. Where The Streets Have No Name
    20. One

    21. Ultraviolet (Light My Way) | or Acrobat | or Discotheque
    22. With or Without You
    23. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
    24. Love is Blindness

I really wanted to put in Last Night on Earth but I don't know where I would slot it. I didn't want to raise the song count to 25. Anyone think this is a good setlist or not?
  5. they should resurrect songs from "pop" and "zooropa".....mofo and gone would be great from "pop"
and lemon , daddys gonna pay and dirty day from "zooropa". also i would like them to drop the "singles" and really dig into their catalogue and mix it up a bit at each show. i seen them 5 times last year (2009) and the only differences between the shows where bad , mysterious ways and stay. and luckily they are among my favourites!! crowd pleasers like streets will no doubt stay, but they should re-discover it ....work on it , and drop the shortened begining-( which i fu--in hate!!
after all they are the best live band by far, and on this next leg of the tour-(2010) they need to push things to the limit, because after this leg finishes i dont think we will get the chance for a long, long time to see the boys again...( if the rumours ive heard are correct ) they dont wanna end up like "the rolling stones" and tour every few years doing the "greatest hits" shit !! im sure the boys wont let us down...........
  6. It'd be great to hear "Hawkmoon 269" and/or "God Part II", as neither have ever been played at a U.S. show.

I'd love if they played "Even Better Than The Real Thing" again. It was played only 10 times, all in the first leg, of the Elevation tour. [11 if you count the Oct 2000 Paris promo show]. It was last played at the June 9th, 2001 show. Opening of the 2010 shows will have given it a 9 year rest so... yeah, I would love it if they played it again; even if it was every few shows.

The only 'Zooropa' album song that has been played in the U.S. thus far has been "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)". So for me, who loves the 'Zooropa' album, any 'Zooropa' tune would be great. I'd love a FULL live version of the title-track. "Daddy's Gonna Pay..." would be great too.

And like many others... I would be more than happy if they played "Mofo" again.

  7. I have a feeling that there will be few "NLOTH" songs on the next leg. That might set well for those wanting older songs resurrected.

    Why less NLOTH songs?

    A) If they are getting an album out, even if it doesn't come out until part way through the tour (like Zooropa), might be a different opener and good chance they will want to play some new songs for the shows.

    B) They've seem to have admitted that NLOTH didn't do so well. I think the album is great. But the band were disappointed with it's sales. And in that, might do what they seem to have done in interviews and practice to the "Rattle and Hum" (movie) and "Pop" (album) and sort of disown them.

I like this, but I'd figure they'd still close with Moment Of Surrender... and I'm OK with that. We get some really good gems in this set!

I think they will do one more world tour (2014-2015?) then spilt up.
