1. That's bullshit. I think they will go into their pension and still be making music. Like AC/DC or The Rolling Stones.

Back on topic, I think we've got a good chance at change. I know people are worried that they won't change too much, but...

    1) Edge specifically said they HAD to rework the show; they couldn't give everyone the same performance as the Rose Bowl DVD

    2) Look at past tours. Elevation's midsection changed virtually every leg of the tour, sometimes entirely. Although later in the tour, it was much more flexible, I think that we'll see something similar from U2. It's already happened from leg 1 to 2- we had Party Girl and Electrical Storm in a few shows of the first leg, and many more performances of In a Little While than the US got. Leg 2 saw much more of Until the End of the World, and dropped Unknown Caller for awhile, as well as the inclusion of Your Blue Room. The variations are THERE, they just aren't frequent enough to keep us satisfied...maybe we overestimate.

I don't think we'll see as much flexibility in a stadium show- same way there was little flexibility in PopMart- because it's much more difficult for Willie and the band to coordinate everything at the drop of a hat. Elevation saw the most change from night to night because there were virtually no theatrics to be rehearsed- they just played music. Vertigo got changes, but mostly between legs. I think that's what we'll be seeing here. Stale setlists by the end of a leg, but definitely distinguishable from the first two legs.

I liked the Elevation tour only because of the song change ever so often. Like Bono playing The Sweetest Thing on piano, acoustic In God's Country, a good version of EBTTRT. They experimented alot on Elevation, something that is needed to do on 360.

While I agree, I understand it's not as easy this time around. I think this tour's setlist has to be compared to PopMart's...you'll have some change, and some subs here and there, but that was mainly the same set all the way through the tour, with some surprises here and there. They're dealing with something much bigger with themselves just playing music, and that's both a good and a bad thing. In the setlist department, it's a bad thing. June 3rd will be the absolute tell-all...the variation you see there, expect for the first few shows at least, and if it sticks beyond that, I would think it'll stick for *mostly* the rest of the leg.

  6. I don't care how much I'm burned for saying it, I want them to do the album version of Crazy Tonight.
  7. if the boys do a lot of snippets...etc, then a lot more material can be heard and im sure it would please the majority of the audience??? i dont think that u2 will split-up, but take some quality time-out!
they need to leave on a real high!! and rightfully keep the crown of "best live band" i also hope that none of the lighting or sound system is missing on this leg: at dublin it wasnt even 360*, and that meant a whole side of lighting and sound was missing too. i heard on the grapevine that these problems happened at stockholm to-(lighting and sound missing) although it was in full 360*.
and at other shows the side on speakers where cut down_(i noticed this myself on many photographs). i attended 5 shows last year, and my friend went to the same ones and one extra
( the show at shalke football stadium-germany) and he reckoned that because it had a roof (closed)
the whole experience was better by far. cardiff for me was the best show, and i was slightly dissapointed in dublin-( because of the missing 90* and the resulting loss in sound..etc..........

the boys could never, never ever let me down- no matter what they decide to play. because at the end of the day.........your either a true fan or a part-time one!! and im definitely a true fan!

    peace. G.

Your missing some gems and have some songs that really don't suit the 360 style. Like 'Wild Honey', 'Gloria' and 'Yahweh' don't really suit the 360 style. BUT you're missing One and Bad and Pride.

Even AC/DC and the Rolling Stones have to spilt up sometime. Coulld you really imagine U2 making music while they are into their 80's?
