1. Promises of politicians are worth shit.

    No exceptions. Live with it

  2. I totally agree. I just have a lot of people near me that still view Obama as perfect. One friend told me that Obama has kept every single promise he made - he hasnt and I just dont understand why so many people are blind to this?
  3. Think the problem is in the USA the elections are a popularity contest. Its very weird to watch from Holland how every aspect of the candidates private lifes is rated and reviewed. In Holland we dont care about the wife / husband of the candidates.

Another limitation of your system is the two-party system. It tends to a A vs B match, with little choice and loss of political interests. Major good thing though is that you dont need 3-4 parties to form a government like in Holland. That is really crap because every decision takes months and every 'new' things fade a way in comprises.

Conclusion: politics is fucked up everywhere around the globe. Grab a beer and enjoy the weater

you're absolutely right. I have seen plenty of great candidates get missed or forgotten because they werent Rep or Dem. In fact, during campaigns, Rep and Dem candidates refuse to take part in debates that involve the lesser party candidates - such as the green party - if those candidates are involved, they refuse to show up.

  5. Poli: Greek for many.

    Ticks: Small blood sycking insects.

At least thsy got the name right.

On a sidenote, props to the military for aquiting the first of the three SEALs on trial. As someone who has studied the case, I belive the prosecution has almost nothing to stand on.
  6. @wtshnbf01 The countries would only concede defeat or success on Wall Posts? I dunno.
  7. Second SEAL was found non-guilty.

    In your face Al Quada.
  8. Local business: Heinz Fischer remains in the position of the President of Austria and Viktor Orbán's Fidesz gain the constitutional majority (2/3 of seats in the parliament) after the second round of the general election in Hungary.
