1. Sure you cant unbrick it?

Bricked my Nokia a few times, pressing 'u' before connecting USB cable pushes the phone into flash mode. Then it was very easy to flash.

Not sure if the 5800 has a trick like that.

Normally I could flash it using a jaf emulator or similar but it is completely lifeless. PC will not pick it up and the thing won't even charge.

    Back to android :

  3. Nokia probably has several service centres where they can flash it for you. Hear some good stories of the centres here in Holland.

One in Belfast and I couldn't make it in until next week. I could probably get it flashed for good and cheap but its the sheer annoyance of it that makes me want to throw it away or sell as faulty on ebay. Only reason I reset and reinstalled the firmware was to clear a whole load of bugs and then bang. Urgh

Another hard reset won't work I assume?
V50 is nice but still has some bugs too. Android is simply the best (no pun intended) these days. Looked at the HTC Desire a friend of mine has. Just lovely. Will go for Android next year unless Symbian 3 surprises me.

It's lifeless. I'll pay a few quid to get it fixed or just sell as faulty.

Gonna buy the Dext pictured above and run it for a while then pick up a HTC Legend
  7. Bought another harddisk, you never have enough multicams....

Good choice I think. Just read Symbian 3 is delayed until the 3th quarter this year. Nokia is fading away..hope they make the jump to Android soon.

And SYmbian 3 is only a stop gap to Symbian 4. Taking too long
