the U2/performance/setlist/etc is one side of the coin to worry about but on the crowd side my biggest worry is those groups of people who sometimes turn up at festivals with the sole intention of making it even harder for bands.. in this case fueled by drink, drugs pure bono hatred and armed with bottles of a certain highly unpleasant liquid and the like... might sound a bit extreme but there are people who take great delight in this kind of behaviour at festivals and judging from some of the extreme bad feeling aimed towards the band and their glastonbury slot that i've read in certain places and the kind of hate that only bono can bring out in some people, i wouldn't be too surprised if there are people out for blood. i just hope with glastonbury being the 'nice' festival there wont be too many of these types.. in the four times i've been to glasto i didn't witness TOO many of them compared to say somewhere like reading.. but they are always there.. it gives them an opportunity to attack bands they passionately hate that they wouldn't normally ever have - how many U2 haters are going to be stupid enough to pay U2 ticket prices just to come and attack the band and get their arses kicked by 70,000 U2 fans!?
i just hope there's enough decent people/U2 fans in the crowd to be able to put a stop to any potential bad behaviour..
Hmm but Bono is in a "let's try something special" mood isn't he... (R&R Hall Of Fame with BEP/Jagger/Springsteen ; Berlin with Jay-Z ; Haïti with Rihanna/Jay-Z ; ...)
