  2. I remember those weeks in June, oh good exciting times. I was so excited, my friends all around the Camp Nou and me working as translator to the whole U2 english-speaking world... And the soundchecks!! It was soooo great, I can perfectly know how Greg feels now Keep them coming mate, we're really thankful

  4. Took these about 20 minutes ago. The rain has started to come down hard again ... ugh! I'm glad I'm not down there on the field.



  5. Thanks for the pictures and video. The 2002 Olympic Stadium / Rice-Eccles Stadium holds about 45,000 for NA Football, but with the concert field used for GA, there is a bit more than 52,000 capacity. The Las Vegas Stadium was perhaps the smallest stadium U2-360 played in , and was a treat to attend, followed by the 100,000 Rose Bowl performance. So I'm looking forward to another "relativley intimate show". I wouldn't be surprised that those near the stadium will hear more than one "soundcheck" in the next two weeks...

    Yes, I was at Las Vegas and the venue was the smallest yet. So nice to be there.

    And I'm 100% sure I'll have some good video of the soundchecks in about 10 days. The stadium is so wide open - it will be a piece of cake.

  10. Yes, they don't look like seats at all, they must be bleachers! It will be interesting. They're forbidden in Europe by the way.


  11. Yes, those are bleachers. Utah doesn't have a professional sports team (that plays in an outdoor arena/stadium) so U2 had to use this smaller university venue. They did the same in Las Vegas when they played at the University of Las Vegas' football (not soccer) stadium - which has bleachers as well actually.

    Bleachers are not the best, for sure ... all the more reason to stand up the entire concert!

    why are they forbidden in Europe? Do they result in too many injuries when the football (soccer) fanatics start fighting?
