1. Opener Your Eye's as opener sounds mighty fine
  2. My favorite moment: Gary singing "You could be happy" to a motionless Security guy and cracking up laughing. "I think I touched his heart".

brilliant. Any leads on a recording? One of your own maybe. . .

  4. hahaahaha, really nice way to ask for it, Gerard!!

Yeah (no pun intended), I'd like to hear some hints of the show, and where they're at now. Are they back to a normal guitar-drums-bass-voice theme or are they still backed up by that orchestra of the late 2009 concerts?
  5. I didn't tape. Decided to do normal gig, no taping, no cam, just fun.
For a second I thought I spotted vortex, but I could be wrong. Apart from that, the SP community (especially in Germany) isn't known for being notorious tapers, so I'd be sceptic about a recording popping up. Sound was really loud, so unless someone with a more than decent gear was there, quality would be mediocre only anyways.

They're more or less back to basics but kept some of the rearrangements on You could be happy or Chasing cars for example.
Make this go on forever was a nice addition (asked by a girl in the crowd). Also funny how the girls where fighting for Gary's jacket when he threw it in the audience.
  6. Sounded like a great gig but most are from Snow Patrol. Pretty pissed that the upcoming Bangor gig is a big festival type show. Suppose I was lucky to see the reworked gig in a smallish venue though.
  7. How was the venue, there were seats on the GA or just standing area? And where were you? If you saw the girls (on the first rows obviously) flighting for the jacket you must be a) in the first rows too or b) in the seats...
  8. btw. Any suggested release date for the Albert Hall DVD?

GA was standing, seats in the back/upper level. I was in something like 3rd or 4th row, moved around a little.

Btw, looks like the 2 UK gigs in June will be streamed.
And there seems to be a special gig for Belgian and Dutch Q Radio in Antwerp on May 25th.

Audio stream? I might skip the gig if it's gonna be broadcast. Hate gigs in fields

  11. I guess so, not sure, though.

Guinness ties up with Snow Patrol

LONDON - Guinness has struck the first ever brand partnership with leading band Snow Patrol, giving the beer brand access all areas.

Through the partnership, Guinness will have access to all of Snow Patrol's recorded and live content.

The Irish drinks brand will also work alongside Snow Patrol on their performances and to co-curate a festival for up-and-coming local talent from the band's home regions of Ireland and Scotland.

The deal was brokered by SO The Agency. At the core of the partnership will be the band's only two UK performances this year in Northern Ireland on 5 June and Glasgow on 12 June.

New recorded content will be seeded to Guinness and Snow Patrol fans via Facebook, while a radio campaign will give consumers the opportunity to get their hands on the last remaining tickets for each of the festivals.

Fans will also be able to download and stream live performances at the festival from both Snow Patrol and up and coming acts via the Guinness and Snow Patrol Facebook pages.

Snow Patrol's drummer Jonny Quinn said: "SO were able to bring our vision to life, of creating a unique experience for our fans. Their intimate understanding of live performance and rights coupled with their huge brand experience meant that we have, in Guinness, the perfect partner who shares our vision."

Further joint marketing initiatives will be rolled out throughout the year.
