1. Breathe.

  2. The audio of the Breathe track is noticeably worst than the rest of the show... Could that be the reason to cut it out? I still find it strange.
  3. Again : it's youtube.
Don't make up your opinion based on that.
The difference between what i heard and saw on youtube and what i heard and saw on tv is huge. (ofcourse)
  4. of course it's only a YouTube clip but Breathe being worse is just a plain fact.

    u2tour.de review:

Breathe (Live At The Rose Bowl - Bonus Track)
'Breathe', the actual opening song of the concert, at least made it onto the disc as a bonus track. Unfortunately the song has been edited somewhat strangely, with the opening sequence with intro song 'Kingdom' cut more or less completely, and sound and picture quality are noticeably worse than the rest of the recording. Why U2 treat this song with so much disdain remains a bit of a mystery.
  5. Of course it's worse, they didn't put so much effort in it as they did in the rest of the show.
  6. Originally posted by noiseless:Ah, never thought of it, or actually I sort of assumed too bright lights would be filtered out by some camera filters instead of being turned off. Thanks for explaining.

I haven't seen one of the recent one-hour-broadcasts and I haven't seen the YouTube broadcast since it was streamed live so my memory may deceive me, but in my memory none of the lights in the legs of the claw were used. So, the claw itself was hardly visible. Nothing I feel like bitching about but yes it's most unfortunate especially for this tour indeed: a tour built around a spaceship being invisible in the DVD.

The Claw was certainly quite dull in the stream back then. I keep saying it: it was a wrong choice and they made some bad decisions.
  7. I just don't want to judge even before i've seen the actual dvd/blue-ray.
Unfortunately, most of you seem to do.
  8. wheres the ten inch cockatoo gone?

Is the audio actually from the Rose Bowl????? Would explain the stock crowd shots.... Plus dropping it from the main show....

  9. I judge the show based on bootleg and stream. The DVD is another matter.

  10. EXACTLY, an official release by U2 is probably the worst way to judge if a show has been good or bad. Even worse than a bootleg!! (and that is saying a lot)
  11. So there's no word on what the vinyl definitely is?

  12. Not a definitive yet.

For those in Australia, JB will be getting in the regular and deluxe editions of the DVD and Blu-Ray sometime later this week - some places Thursday, some Friday and not sure on prices yet because the final ones haven't been published (though you'd think it'd be known already so close to a release).

The Super Deluxe is released next week and should go for around $184 - $190 including extra taxes. All this comes from the Noarlunga and Marion stores in South Australia, but make sure you check at your own store before you buy.
