Is John Rhys-Davies dressed as Gimli? Cos that would be hilarious.

In other threads I've noticed your humour. If I find one I'll link it back here.

  3. Agreed, I've always preferred the first version over the one with vocals!

Thanks for the rip, I'm really excited to hear this song on some kind of official release. Definitely reminds me of NLOTH, but more tribal (for lack of a better word). I'm very curious to see how a full version of this song would sound.

ps. first post ever in the forum!

Nah- tribal is really the perfect word for, you nailed it.

  5. So I'm currently doing a run through of all of U2's album and singles releases and rating them to determine my favorite songs and albums and I'm up to the Passengers effort (which I am including). I couldn't help but note a slight similarity between their track "One Minute Warning" and "Kingdom". Anyone else think so?

    "One Minute Warning" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tan_i7Z8RGo

    "Kingdom" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzp0jvXWfLo

Anyone have a really great version of this song from one of the bootlegs that is complete with the countdown at the beginning and is quite clear?

Also, I just has the idea that if this doesn't get released on the next album, they should package the track with the DVD release of 360, that would be a great home for it.

  7. *bump*

So is U2 "Soon", on the coloured vinyl in the superdeluxe Rosebowl-DVD set what we thought was called "Kingdom"?? anyone heard it yet? what can you tell us about this version?

If I'm lucky, the postman will deliver my set tomorrow, that means I have to look for my old record player in the attic now....

    exciting!

EDIT: if it turns out to be the same song, maybe we should change the title of this topic into "Soon (Kingdom of your love)" ?

Some member said it was. A title change can be made nevertheless.
  9. A side and B side both have the same song, "Soon" aka "Kingdom Of Your Love". The length is an astonishing 2:06 minutes...

    really? THAT long??
    they are spoiling us.....!

In that case it probably is the version we already know; the one that fades away to quickly..
