1. I was watching the DVD version (I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet) and, unless there is a flaw on my disc, it seems the layer transition occurs (awkwardly) in late stages of City of Blinding Lights. This is very odd and unfortunate. Couldn't they place the layer transition between songs?
  2. Just watched the Blu ray, and it's all kinds of lush. Here's the real question about it, though - is it just me or is Bono turning into Robin Williams?

  3. Seems like they only pressed it in NTSC.
PAL players can deal with NTSC, the other way round isn't that easy...

Btw.: Interesting how opinions differ. I find Ultra Violet nearly unlistenable in this version. Can't stand Bono's take on it.
  4. Weird. You are right that it doesnt matter too much, but there are still ancient PAL players that dont support NTSC discs.

Luckily with HD we dont have 2 different systems.

    EDIT:
UV was badly performed by Bono. He didnt finish his normally longer words. Couldnt stand the way he did the Ultraviolet Lo--ove But thats just me bitching.

    Graphics are very cool though.
  5. I can't stand With Or Without You, Ultraviolet, One and City Of Blinding Lights. I have trouble with The Unforgettable Fire too...
  6. I found the 1 DVD, 2 DVD and Blu-Ray versions of this at JB Hi-fi. I thought that it was supposed to be released in Australia on the 11th. This seems to happen with everything at JB.
  7. Received my copy last friday. The dvd is good. Not brilliant, but good.
Bono's voice varies from out of tune to absolutely brilliant...not very consistent in other words. I've seen better performances.
Package of the box is great.

Yep JB always bring it out earlier than release date. I'm not sure whether they're allowed to do this but hey I'm not complaining.

In their stores, is the deluxe edition still $25.99 or has it gone up to $50?
  10. bought a copy of the blue ray version on friday, not overly impressed with it to be honest,
Think a non american show release be a bit more special for various reasons,1. band preformance,2.Crowd interaction without having to be encouraged by Bono!3.Better setlist! A good release but could have been better!!
  11. just had the dvd running from beginning to end, and because of several reviews I've read before, I turned my sound system up on nearly full volume and turned up the subwoofer like there's no tomorrow -- the sound of this dvd is a killer!!! it has the ground in my apartment shaking and left the walls vibrating like there was an earthquake going on. If I had neighbors they'd be deaf now Best audio ever, I dare say. And I'm only on the "regular" dvd, no Blu-Ray, mind you. So..... the sound on this dvd? Bloody brilliant, is all I can say
