  1. Mexico is a pretty good team. South Africa is ranked like 90th-ish, I think Mexico will beat them by a fairly large difference, despite being in front of their home crowd.

    i agree, Meixco have Vela and Dos Santos who will be very dangerous, vela coulda had a bag of goals vs england in a warm up game if he didnt kick em at the gk all the time.

    Disagree with Mexico walking all over the South Africans though. It's similar to Arsenal or United going to the hostile regions in Eastern Europe. The South African fans will be blowing those vuvuzelas for 90 minutes and it'll spur the RSA players on and no doubt drive the Mexicans insane.

    Hope South Africa score though, want to see their special celebration they've devised. I've seen their rehearsal but want to see it live!

    40 minutes until the opening ceremony...

    Don't agree there, the home team never lost their opening game on a World Championship. But there's always a first though..
  5. 2 1/2 hours until the opening game started work 3 hours earlier today just to have time to watch it soooo happy it finally begins!

    anyone bought one of those Vuvuzelas? yesterday a car drove by my place and someone was hanging out of the passengers seat blowing such a vuvuzela - it sounded like a mad cow LOL amazing tune

    I certainly won't be buying one. What a nuisance. Kudos for South African fans for having their traditions.
