    Anyway Wilders is obsessed with his fight against the Islam. Shame because his other plans are not that bad.

    Excellent question Andrew and, in my humble opinion, I dont think the world would be more peaceful without religion. A few reasons for this:

    * Personally, I dont think religion is the problem - it's ignorance and lack of understanding of other peoples religion that is the problem.

    * Warmongering is not wholly waged on religious ideology. Wars have been fought as much for monetary, geographical and political gain as much as religious gain.

    I think some people (not you!!!) are too quick to blame the ills of the world on religious extremism. I cant see how that can be a balanced argument when many of the people making such claims have no religious beliefs themselves.

    Billions of people around the world take great solace in their faith (myself included) and I cant see how the world would be a better place if these people had no ideals- whatever their religion!

  10. You know what i mean, look at Scandinavia (has been mentioned before). Standard there is relatively high. Of course there are several ways to run a country. And I dont say its the good one, but bit tired of all the bashing here. Lots of countries do it that way and are doing quite well.

    And fortunantly, I dont live in those countrys.

    I know you aint the one who was being a dick about it, but whats wrong with wanting to be a self sufficient individual? If I ever have children, I want to be able to look them in the eye, and say, I never got something I didn't earn.
  12. I agree completely about being independent, but some things you dont have a say in. If you loose your legs it would be fun if your children dont suffer too much by it.
