    CM - Barry
    CM - Gerrard (c.)
    LM - Cole
    ST - Heskey/Crouch
    ST - Defore

I feel that would have a much better balance and is a system that generally all the players involved are suited to. That said, we can but wait and see what the next week will throw up.

    Sorry mate, disagree.

    Here's mine:

    GK - Heart
    RB - Johnson
    CB - Terry
    CB - King
    LB - A. Cole
    RM - Lennon
    CM - Gerrard
    CM - Lampard
    LM - J.COLE
    ST - Rooney
    ST - Crouch

Definately not Heskey, who cares if he sets up players, midfielders are meant to do that. He is a waste of a position, slow and cant shoot. That's why he hardly plays for Villa. I'd much rather Ishmael Miller in the team than him. Imagine how much better Kevin Phillips would be too

Exactly. He should have scored, but he didn't, but he was the best English striker on that pitch by a country mile. Actually ran around, brought people into play, made visible effort. Rooney did sod all, so I think he's the one people should be giving grief based on yesterday's match - not Heskey.

    Heskey = Joke
Green = Wups (but not good enough anyway)
Milner = very over-rated, get JOE COLE in there!!!!

Terrible performance, embarrasing, the only good player was Gerrard...

Disagree on all three counts, but there we go lol I think Milner is far from overrated, but seeing as he's been recovering from a virus he shouldn't have started, simple as, so bad call from Capello. Seeing as we don't have any genuine left-sided wingers in the squad, Cole is the best option to start there. Neither Milner nor Gerrard play on the left-side in the Premiership, so there's little sense in that. And I've already given my opinion on Green earlier so I'm not going to repeat myself
  4. hi
  5. Robert Koren is earning me points on the Fantasy Football league lol, I like my shrewd picks
  6. I am just getting into this now. Soccer (and I totally agree it should be called football) is not big in Canada. I'm enjoying the few games I have watched. Just wondering who I should be cheering for haha as Canada is not in the tournament. (I usually just pick the African team or another country I prefer.)
  7. Don't wonder any longer, just join the Orange side.

If it wasn't for his perfect touch England may have been looking at a loss. That said, if Gerrard hadn't scored the game could've gone in any direction.

Shame ITV HD didn't play adverts throughout the game, would've been more interesting.

So far South Korea are the most promising team in the competition but other teams have shown some promise. Nigeria were quick and agile against Argentina, played some football that Argentina would've been proud of. Ghana looked pretty good just, got a good team of players and could pose a threat in their group. Will almost certainly now be between Ghana and Australia for the place with Germany. South Africa looked ok during the 2nd half of their game, played a similar way to Nigeria. Some intelligent moves and not afraid to unpick a defence to score a wonderful goal. The rest have been slow starting, even Argentina in my opinion.

Hopefully the tournament will liven up once everyone has played their first game and are in the swing of things.

  11. don't do that

yeahness for the Ghana victory I'm really looking forward to our team playing against them. But Serbia is under pressure now, they'll try to kick our butts next week. I expect a tough game.
However.... the Aussies first I predict a 3:1 win for us our goalkeeper Manuel Neuer comes from Schalke 04, my favorite football team here at home. Best man we could take to Africa, go Manu go
