1. Bye Maradonna
  2. YEEAAAH !!! Spain... Holland... get ready, we're coming to get ya :p
  3. With regards to Suarez's handball, it was downright cheating. Regardless of whether he was punished or not, regardless of whether it was 'instinct' or not. It was cheating. Absolutely disgusting.

That said, Asamoah Gyan should've scored, but that's football and penalty kicks for you, they all don't go in. However perfectly good headers that aren't obstructed by hands do go in.

Some would argue that Suarez had no choice and was punished for his actions, ok, that's fair I guess. He deserved a red and got a red.

However, jumping on the sidelines when you know that you've cheated your way to a penalty shoot-out and then gloating to the press that he is somewhat proud of his moment in the spotlight is just disgraceful and it's that attitude that makes you want to deck him. Absolutely vile behaviour.

Suarez said: "Mine is the real 'Hand Of God'. I made the save of the tournament."

About as unsportsmanlike as you can get.
  4. I sincerely hope they give him an extra match ban so he misses the final (should they make it). Never hated a player more than him (even before last night). Keep him in Holland
  5. Yeah, heard FIFA might suspend him for the possible final though.

These things happen, look at Schumacher. Who found a hole in the rules when he took a stop-and-go penalty while he passed the finish line a few years back
  6. Suarez heard someone was selling hearing aids with anti-whisteling features:

legend. Can't recall his punishment though and was it cheating really?

Suarez has been dealt with within the rules which is hair enough but it was the lack of any shame that summed it up for me. The game is being exploited by little wankers like him.
  8. germany played very well ... klose still is a stupid goalthief .... i really dont like him ...

the second yellow for mueller was not a yellow I think .... big and sad mistake (yes, you hear this from a dutchie ...)

argenitina very very dissappointing .... unbelievable they left players out that could have reached messi, now he had to even go back and pick up the ball himself .... bad bad performance of that team ....

still .. I am not afraid ...... spain or germany or uruguay ..... bring it on ..... we have only used 75% of what we can I guess ... when the full 110% is in play, it will synergise to an incredible game of football, that shoudl make us proud, win or loose !!!
  9. I don't get the fuzz about Suarez. Of course he was cheating. So was the player from Ghana when he dived to get the free kick that led to the situation. Also, Appiah was offside, when he shot on goal (the handball happened in the next situation). So technically, that problem shouldn't even have happened...
And last but not least, Suarez was punished, it's not his fault when Gyan misses the penalty.
  10. Completely true, but we dont have to like players who do things like that

About the Schumacher incident. He got a penalty, he had to come in the pits in 3 laps. But there were only 3 laps remaining, so in the last lap he drives into the pitlane. Passes the finish line, winning the race and then stopped for his 'penalty'

It wasnt really cheating, since it was a hole in the rules but it is on the edge of immoral at the least.

I don't think a penalty is a worthy advantage when a 100% certain goal is illegally blocked. A penalty with no keeper perhaps. An attempt at goal is no substitute over a certain goal. Neither is a 1 man advantage with 0 time left on the clock though.

Rules are rules I guess and Suarez was hit with the punishment that Fifa see fit. I just really dislike the guy.
