The Dutch have a lot of potential in their ranks we have still to see, and a fair few players who can change a game on their own, so don't write them off just yet. Spain's world-class depth is of a similar level, i.e. once you look past the first 11 or so - hell, Capdevila is their 1st choice left back I'm not dismissing the Spanish at all - both sides haven't really peaked yet, which is quite frankly bizarre since we have one (meaningful) game left of the tournament lol.

What I'm intrigued by is the fact that nearly all of the defences at this World Cup have looked suspect, yet we haven't THAT many high scoring games that haven't involved Germany or North Korea. If Germany had played themselves, they'd have mullered each other, if that makes any sense, and if they had really gone for it and unsettled Spain, they could have cut through the Spanish defence tonight, I wasn't convinced. Such as it, the Spanish are off to J'Berg to face Bert and Co. Should be interesting...

Ok, we'll see about the Dutch - this match yet again proves that anything can happen in football.

Will see how much Germany can beat Uruguay though - the Dutch looked far from convincing in their semi.

And that stupid octupus, it's an amazing bit of luck, it's like a 0.01% chance that it's predicted all their games correctly so far.
  2. Yes the Spanish play offensive, they tick and tick the ball, they're so great, but in the meanwhile they hardly score more then one goal a game.

We're equal and have more people who can decide a game

It will be a great match anyway, looking (nervously) forward to it
  3. If we win - this country won't sleep for a week.
If we lose - this country will cry for a week.
  4. no matter what the outcome ...
I will go to amsterdam on tuesday to cheer them on ....... will leave on mondaynight and park opposite the central station .... across the water .... free parking and then with a free shuttle boat you can go into the centre ...

about to paint my frontdoor orange .. hang more flags in the street and try to keep calm ....
sooo happy with a team as spain .... finally we can play football !!

3-2 for holland is my prediction !

We didn't convince once during the tournament. Anyway, we're there in the final. Some say it's luck, some say it's just the talent to score goals during important periods of a match. I don't know, but I do know that Holland hasn't played it's football yet what we played in the qualification and the friendly matches.

With good combination football, we beat every team. During our period in South Africa, we play kinda defensive and uninspired. Could be a tactical choice by Van Marwijk or it is just plain coincidence.

Spain are favourites, but also Brasil was. It's a match on its own and I think it could go all the way. My hopes: 3-2 for Holland. My bet: 1-3 for Spain.

  6. Remind me to avoid this topic either way then....
  7. For both sides its best to shut up until after the finals Anything can happen

    LOL.
  8. i'm not really fussed who wins, both teams have been far more respectable then sum of the teams in the cup. i just want the final to be fair and not have any cheating bullshit or ref fook ups

  9. Congrats Spain

  10. Mani the Parakeet chose the dutch flag, so we become World Champion
He was right in his other predictions!
  11. So at least one psychic is wrong.
