1. Spain seems to have taken control......Just waiting for a shot to actually go through.
  2. red card was always coming.
  3. Dive, dive, dive. This is getting pathetic.
  4. Fair result. The Dutch have been a bit reckless and Robben missed that sitter.
  5. Not happy with the end of that game...Robben should have put that goal in around the 60th minute, no question. I think I knocked some ceiling dust down when I accidentally kicked my shoe a little too high at the end.
  6. Sad because Holland lost.

But it was a great final game, brutal tempo for at least 100 minutes.
  7. Nice diving spain. netherlands played a fair game, (reckless????) and the ref shut them down. Spain played the ref more than they played the game. And to top it off, the last goal was possible offside, and scored by the biggest whiner of the game.

The Dutch were reckless, count the cards. Very nearly should have been down to 9 men at half time. The goal was also a mile onside.

Count the cards? More than half of those cards were issued because Spanish players dove like the champs they now are. "A mile onside?" give me a break.

Robben should have been sent off, same with De Jong for his Karate kick. All the cards were fair and nothing to do with the Spanish protests (the protests were there for sure but did not influence the ref).

Watch the replay of the goal. Way onside.

I was behind the Dutch but the talent wasn't there tonight so they resorted to dodgy tackles all night and were lucky to have finished the game with ten men. The Dutch also squandered the clearest chance of the game. Spain were fair winners.

Okay, that karate kick I agree with, not Robben, but yes he should have had that goal, it was lame.

I'm not saying their protests influenced the ref, I'm saying their diving did, more than half of the calls he made for fouls were the result of dives, YOU watch the replays. The karate kick, and Van Bommel (who I hate anyway) were reckless, I agree with you there.

And the goal (looking back) was onside, but barely. And it pisses me off that the player who scored it dove the most.
