1. True it's one of the worst charges I've seen for a long time. 'Luckily' he hit Xabi Alonso's sternum, so Alonso didn't get injured. If De Jong hit him just a toss higher it would be lot worse. Awful challenge.

For the Dutch: don't you think it's strange to see the massive reception in Amsterdam right now on the telly?

Yes. Any other time the whole team would've been burned for their play. I guess its because we made it that far (with lots of luck).

It's insane, strange, but on the other hand nice to see. Yep, they were lucky, but they're such a great 'team'. That was also important.
  4. Sergio, what's it like in Spain a few days after the Cup win? Were you in Plaza de Colon for the viewing party?

  5. I wasn't watching the match in the Colon square because I was on vacations (it was my parents 20th anniversary so we were going to celebrate anyway... the World Cup finale was just a little nice addition ), but I arrived in Madrid yesterday evening and literally went directly from the car to the EXTREMELY HUGE (up to 1.750.000 or even 2.000.000 people according official news) public reception... They did a long long journey through most of the Madrid's biggest places and I was at the Cibeles square with some friends. It was funny but the extreme heat (it only got under 38ºC after 8PM) and the huge crowd made it a little harsh to stand. Anyway, we watched the big final party from a pub so no problem

  6. Haha thats awesome. Wow, Sergio I can only imagine that with so many people and the heat! I was in Plaza de Colon during the Eurocup 2008, my God was it hot. Extremely fun though. I'm jealous of you!!
  7. I was in Colon in 2008 too, with the very same friends as yesterday!!

Spain is now awakening of the dream..... After SOOO many years of losing, deception, more losing, more deception, anger, disappointments, etc etc... winning the Europe Cup and the World Cup in a row makes us feel a little stoned, a little crazy. We've grown listening "Spain never wins nothing" every day, and now, in the last 6-8 years, Spain wins everything. Tennis, ciclying, basket, motorbikes, F1, and now the biggest one, soccer/football....... It's hard to believe.

The worst part of it is that now, Spain can only go downhill
