  1. i think the melbourne the 19th was extremely good... they were meant to finish the night with kite but surprised bono with bad at the end... he sung it extremely well and i think the surprise of it all made him sing it better... this is also an awesome version of the song... they tone it down for the 40 snippet which they normally close the sonmg on but they build it back up again to another chorus... i was there!!! really awesome!!

  5. I sincerely hope someone has mentioned East Rutherford: 1985-04-15 – by far the longest, and quite possibly the best version of Bad.

  7. I prefer the Bad's from the UF-tour. Dortmund 1984..shivers down my spine.
  8. U2's Live Aid performance has to one of my favorite versions of Bad... so powerful.

    Also, there was a performance during the Vertigo Tour in Chicago (2005-09-21) where they played Bad and snippeted a large portion of The First Time (the setlist calls it a snippet, but basically the entire song is there). This version takes the cake as the most powerful for me. Then again, Bad played in almost any instance is a powerful song.

    Awww Jesus what a song this was. I wouldn't call this the best performance ever but it has power. Bono's voice is pretty much done for and he soon runs into trouble with the first 'Wide Awake' part at around 3 minutes in. Every time he tries to hit that big note his voice just fails. The band keep going though and Bono keeps trying (and failing), then after 3 or 4 times his voice comes back and he belts out that WIDE AWAAAAAKE! and the crowd give him a nice appreciative cheer. Great moment. You find yourself willing him on when you realise that he keeps trying. Fair play man. Fair play
  10. That Chicago version is very very powerful in my opinion. The one from LA (2005-11-02) is also a great performance from Vertigo, with a "People got the power" snippet.

    But the most powerful ones must be during Lovetown or JT I think. Not the most emotional ones, but the most powerful, for sure.
  11. Most powerfull without a doubt is the version played on a Self Aid concert in Dublin, think it was 1986.

    "I refuse to crawlll". Classic. It way tops the Live Aid one (in my opinion off course
