1. Well, it IS. And I would LOVE to hear it live.

However, the rehearsed version sounded kind of raw and improvised to me and Bono had no clue about the lyrics

  2. It's always fun to hear a new song live.
But Mercy is NOT one of U2's best.... (opinions, opinions....)

on another note: wouldn't it be much more fun if they reharsed new/old songs in a private studio? Rehearsing in the stadium (for everybody to hear) totally takes away the surpise (MOTD) or it gets our hopes up and leads to frustration (Mercy). Surely there must be some studio near the stadium of duty that is willing to let them rehearse in private the day before the evening of the gig?
  3. Nah Mercy is one of U2's best (opinion)

i think they just wanna try out the song in the stadium. Just to make sure the sound and everything works. Im sure they have rehearsed it in a studio before.

    that doesn't make sense.
If you mean they have to soundcheck.... well they could do that with Beautifull Day or Streets... no need to use a "new" song for that.

I don't think they rehearse that much in the studio inbetween gigs. If they weren't so inherently lazy we would have heard well-rehearsed full band-versions of EBW, North Star etc by now...........

  6. Oh you...

  7. Of course it was, you can't hear crowd on Vertigo that much because the sound is so loud.

  8. just watched the MOTD clip for the first and the last time.

    ouch...awful
  9. That Turkish song is awsome, I dont' understand any word of it, but it's so beautiful and it made the show even warmer for turkish corwd.

Music like this is also played/sung in Bosnia, because for decades Turks were trying to conquer Bosnia and Croatia, so they left some of that influence.
  10. everything?

    - Bono does only a few lines
    - he has trouble hitting the right tone
    - it's not even a shadow of the original version
    - there's way to much owoowowowww...... in it.

    shall I continue?
