1. I think it started off well until Zulfu came on stage.

I still think the same. Larry should have done that drum-bass in the semi-acoustic performances. Just that, acoustic guitar + bass drum. Lovely.
  3. There's some interesting reviews to be found of this show. Dead crowd, thousands of people walking out during the gig, Bono getting booed during his bridge yadda yadda, the band working really hard and giving all. Must have been an interesting gig to witness.

I'd also read somewhere about boos. Can't wait for a bootleg.
  5. I only read that mention of the Turkey president got lots of boos... But Bono getting them? Can't see it.
  6. The band caused a major traffic jam when they visited the Bosporus bridge. People needed hours to get home from work (in Ramadan).
check 1:50. Funny how he gets applause when he promises not to talk about politics, though

  7. the boos happened when he said the name of premier erdogan, who doesn't seem to be popular.
People walking out of the gig?? hard to imagine

Dream of the song "Moment of Surrender" during the US leg.

    Still hard to imagine?

Brilliant. Bono was put in his place there.

50 000 at the start, 35 000 at the end is what I read. Erdogan is very popular in his country btw.

Wonder what the reception of Sunday Bloody Sunday was. The Turkish government have been becoming quite good friends wit Iran recently.
  12. Actually, Bono mentioned Egemen Bagis who is minister of european affairs in Turkish government. I've been looking for some information about him and he seems to be a pro-european and liberal politician - nothing controversial for me . But there were some comments naming him as 'scum of a politician' soo...

It must felt awkward for U2..
