    True, those are some of Bono's purest lyrics ever.

    They will hopefully find their way back in.

  4. I'm not sure if I like the new Mercy or the old Mercy. The part of the new chorus, "because, because, because," sounds like the song from the Wizard of Oz.

    It's "love is justice, not charity"
    That wasn't a good chorus anyway, way too much cheese and trying too hard to be meaningful.

    But if they've changed it to:

    You wanna kill me
    And I wanna die
    We were meant for each other
    You and I

    That is definitely much worse, it's like some kind of emo/goth love song written by a ten year old.

    Pity I'm at work and can't have a listen for myself.

    EDIT: Just had a quick listen, the new chorus is MUCH worse than the previous one, lyrics are awful and the 'because, because, because' part is just horrible.

    Why did they change the melody and structure from the original? The only problem with the original were the occasional bad lyric and it was a bit too long.

    I think the new lyrics are kinda good. Don't know why though. On paper they seem like crap but I like how 'blunt' and direct it is when hes singing it
  12. The sound of the chorus is a little better, imho. Lyrics still look like an elementary school essay.
