1. Someone the other day (Lliuzzi or Kobayashi, can't remember) said that "If Alonso had been a Red Bull driver this season, he would have won the championship 2 months ago". So true
Red Bull have been a horrible team this year, being completely biased towards one pilot instead of favouring both of them, and making stupid tactical movements, etc. Anyway, Vettel is a good driver and as I said before, I congrat him and wish him luck for next year: that's gonna be insane!!

Anyway, Alonso cant blame the team for all 100%. He was way to stuck behind Petrov for waaaay too long.

I know its not easy. But the whole game is about being in front of as many cars as possible. Today was not his lucky day

He can blame the team for about 90% of it though. I don't know why they reacted to Webber, the tyres of Alonso hadn't even went yet.

He was stuck behind Petrov for that long because once you get stuck behind a driver for a few laps, it starts to get very difficult. You get into their turbulent air which affects top speed and slipstreaming. Plus, it was a quite a difficult circuit to pass on. It didn't look a difficult circuit to pass on but it actually is.
  3. That is true, but again from the best of the world you can expect more than from others. He was close a few times, but wasnt able to put Petrov under real pressure.

I also wished Alonso to win

If I were Alonso, I would have just slipped one through the inside. I would have done about 10 laps from the end, taken a risk, instead of being stuck behind him.

Remember though, Hamilton was stuck behind Kubica for about 10-15 laps and Massa was stuck being Alguersauri for most of the race so it was very difficult to overtake. That made it boring to a race that everyone thought that the championship would be decided on the last lap, not several laps before.
  5. Becuase Ferrari hadn't set up his car to overtake, only to defend!!! It was the safety car that fucked it all up. Ferrari had set their cars not to win positions, only to defend theirs. That's why he couldn't overtake Petrov (whose Renault isn't exactly what I call "slow", by the way). Look at Hamilton, he couldn't overtake Kubica either.
  6. Guys I know

I am just saying that its not impossible. Ferrari took a risk, pitstop was wrong. Alonso wasnt able to overtake. End of story
  7. I watched the original Alonso words in Spanish and there's some mis-translating in that article. Nothing big, though.
Anyway, what shall he do? What is he supposed to say? I think that was right. Specially just 3 minutes after the race had ended. Vettel would have killed someone instead ... Ferrari is his team after all, and will be next season too; he shouldn't throw rocks at his own roof (or whatever that idiom translates into english )

  8. Sebastian is A great Champion!!
    Germany loves Sebastian
  9. Yeah

    Seb is a great champ

  10. I actually physically feel shattered for watching that season, so much drama and so many emotions, thankfully the boy came through in the end. only 16 more weeks and its back again.

I was physically shattered watching Abu Dhabi alone. I was shaking for most of the race.

I think we should just rename this thread to Formula One.
