1. We still see that people turn free leech on for many torrents. The idea is nice, but see it more like presents. They need to be somewhat special.

We will start disabling some freeleech torrents in the future if necessary Or enable it only on request.
  2. What qualifies them as special?
  3. The torrent section can only exist if people try to up- as much as they download. Freeleech is a nice gesture, but we should be careful giving everyone a free pass

Imo there should be 1 freeleech torrent per 10 torrents or something like that . In the beginning it was halve, now a little less, but still on the high side.
  4. Ah yeh I get it, but how do you choose which ones can be freeleach?
  5. When you upload a torrent you can make it freeleech. As downloader you dont have a choice
  6. I know that too haha but if you're trying to cut back on the amount of freeleaching torrents, how are you going to choose which ones to keep as freeleach?

    Dictatorship
  8. Democracy, Remy gets the vote
  9. I have a stupid question...

I just moved a lot of my files to an external harddrive, because the internal one was almost full. Now all of those stopped seeding (expected that) and I see the error "Error: Files missing from job. Please Recheck" as status on those torrents. How do I let uTorrent know where these files are so that I can continue seeding them?

Ohh, and please laugh all that you want at my incompetency

Right click on it, choose "Advanced" and then "Set download location". Select the new folder, confirm, and restart the torrent to fix it. This last thing won't have to be necessary.

Thanks, for the response, and making me feel even more braindead... because I can't find this. Or is it different on a Mac? Because that's what I'm using.

Maybe there's some kind of "simplified" version that I've turned on, or something.

It could be that you first has to press "Stop" for a torrent. You stop it, and then you can right click to select a different download location.
