1. preparing to snow here .. it seems
  2. -4°C and quite a load of snow. Miss them old days when it rained.
  3. 4th of January and we've still seen nothing that reminded even remotely to snow. Although we've been living in a Dublin-like weather for 2 weeks now (and I ♥ it).
  4. Really coming down.

  5. Three quarters of our massive state - Queensland - declared a disaster zone. Large parts of our populated centres under water. Our capital city on high alert as our rivers and creeks break their banks and flood levels forecast to rise past record levels in coming days. Death toll is nine but dozens missing.
  6. i'm glad it seems that finally stop raining here but ... ouch watching those images on tv makes me sick .. god it might be as large as 1/3 of europe more or less (they said large as Germany and France put together).
anyone knows if any charity lines are predicted?

You can donate to Queensland's Flood Appeal here: http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html

For those of you in Australia, please don't use the phone number to donate. The call centre is also coordinating rescue services and donation calls are clogging the lines.

The next 24 hours will be the worst of it in Brisbane. I've no idea whether I can get to work tomorrow or if I'll have any staff. Lots of roads are cut and we expect more will go under as the flood peaks overnight. We're fine at our place, high on the hill, but there are a lot of people being evacuated.
  8. It rained a lot here in Sao Paulo in the last hours. People needed boats to move around some places and the city became a big mess.

And I'm praying for you guys in Australia. Hope the situations gets better soon.
  9. Raining here at 03:15. Need a bit of rain really to clean the streets up.

Feel for all those Aussies out there though who have had more than enough water. Hope the situation clears soon.
