  1. I support the Gelsenkirchen 05 and Brussels 05 nominations. Have to mention the opening Joshua night in Tempe and Popmart Las Vegas too.
  2. I'd give Popmart San Diego that award. And probably second, the opening JT night in Tempe.

    Here's the point: with Sarajevo, either you love it or you hate it. It always gives me goosebumps, and I think it's so emotional. Well, shows like this don't leave you cold.

    I don't find the music side of things of that show emotional, maybe emotionally bad but that's it.

    considering only the technical performance of the band almost every opening show was not so good .. tempe 87 las vegas 97 lakeland 92 till barcelona 09.

    i need to say something in defense of turin 2001 from which this topic started
    Bono voice was far from being at its best and this is true, but he was all heart and soul like the other 3 and all the people in the stadium ... thousands people + 4 all beat as one. nobody wanted the show would end .. neither the boys. it's the so-called "we can't go home" show. two unexpected encores were added runtime at the playlist.
    that day was "particular" for the streetfight in Genoa for the G8 summit where a boy was killed. Bono, of course, got very angry about that and had a special energy in the show .. in some way like in Denver 87 for enniskillen facts.
    that night was simply Magic and unforgettable!
    however i can undestand if the magic of that night might not be caught just listening to audio bootleg

  7. For me the worst show that the band did was in Reggio Emilia in 1997, because in front of 150,000 people and all the performance is not good and even the crowd seemed bored is a very sad thing
  8. Elevation Tour - Arnhem Holland , indoor arena , roasting hot and we were near the back of GA . Acoustics were crap which made it my worst U2 show from about 25 times I've seen them .
  9. Popmart Las Vegas isn’t very good but I’m still bitter about Tulsa back in May. The performance was good but the crowd was awful I had to sit the whole time.
  10. Every JT17 show. High expectations but U2 didn't deliver. Only Red Hill Mining Town and Exit were fabulous. Especially the encores were very lame.
