1. Definitely not. I don't drink that much at all, and in fact I have never been drunk in the sense of not knowing what I do or say, or not remembering things, etc. That Stairway topic was written by me while I was practically sober (well, maybe not "sober", but not "completely drunk" either, as one could think reading the opening post. It's just that I didnt correct my typing mistakes like I use to do), the fact is that it was too late and I couldn't see a lot, and typying in a small Nokia 5800 when you've been out all night isn't easy

Yes, I understand the concept of the joke - but where is the similarity? He seems a bit too polite to be me - his arguments seem to be on the completely opposite side to what I would say and his views are fairly predictable and mainstream.

I mean I would think of all the regulars here I'm more similar to Aaron (wtshnn), in that we're both stubborn and have controversial views - (but our actual views and everything else are quite different)

Either way, it's pretty funny how even non-regulars have picked up on it.
  3. If A is similar to B, and B is similar to C, then A is similar to C, isn't it?

    (Just to make it clearer: A=vanquish // B=wtshnnfb01// C=bobplaysthedrums)

By the way, I renamed the topic

Yes, I understand the concept but WHERE is the substance, direct me to what bobplaysthedrums has said that is similar to what I would say - just so I can go to sleep and not think i'm going crazy

  5. I just found that one post similar, not anything else.

  6. Yes, but you didn't say that until now so what are their basing the supposed similarity on?

  7. That's true. One being my favourite U2 song is as predictable and mainstream as it gets.
  8. I previously said that this post is very similar to what I might say.

How am I similiar to wtshnnfb01? I guess this is a joke, right?

  10. No, I like One too, that's not my point - I mean saying that the study doesn't mean anything is fairly usual point of view - ie. I haven't seen anything in your posts which is controversial - unlike say mine or Aarons.

I was being somewhat tongue in cheek there, to rain on Sergios parade.

So, do you mean you would have also said that being a non-native English speaker makes it hard to tell intelligence or that Sergio doesn't come across as intelligent in his posts? (i'm guessing you meant the former)

  11. Oh good. That makes the child prodigy thing more sense then.

I say the now somewhat infamous cd vs vinyl rant was quite controversial, but I don't try to make controversial posts I just say how I feel.

Yes, It makes it hard to tell his intelligence. I wouldn't ever say that he doesn't come across as intelligent in his posts and I wouldn't say that to anyone.
