Next new song streamed: Oh my heart.

It's a very quiet and very meditative song dedicated to New Orleans — about New Orleans. Jacknife [Lee] is great as a producer, because he saw that we were struggling with what is a very quiet song. We were standing really far away from each other in the room, and it was hard not only to actually physically hear each other, but it felt dispersed. He brought us into the middle, and instantly, of course, the song worked.

Love the idea of this album and Discover is fantastic, but I haven't really fallen for any of the other tracks... we'll see what happens

I like how it sounds, although I can't see how anybody could say this is a "very quiet" song. It's haunting, it's meditative, it's heart-breaking, it's intense, but... Quiet? Oh anyway, I like it a lot. As well as the other previews of the album you've been posting on the past weeks. Gonna be a great album methinks

My less favorite of all the previews of the album. Too predictable, too REM-ish to me. I can see that's why it's the 1st single, though.

This is fucking awesome:

If the rest of the DVD is like that, I'm definitely buying it anywhere (it isn't available on any spanish physical stores so maybe Amazon or eBay...). SImply amazing

EDIT. WTF, in that thumbnail Michael seems to be sitted on a wheel chair...

It's not even one of the highlights for me: Man on the Moon, Country Feedback, Orange Crush and Walk Unafraid are according to me the best moments...

Do you have the Perfect Square DVD then? Where did you get it?

I bought it years ago the day of its release like I used to... worth buying.... on priceminister you can have it at 10€...

R.E.M. has become one of my favorite bands, definitely, and the other day as I was watching on youtube the DVD live from Perfect Square, I fell in love with "Walk Unafraid"... it´s incredible and one of my favorites now along with "All The Right Friends", "Everybody Hurts", "Daysleeper", "At My Most Beautiful" and "Drive"!
