There won't be even an announcement. Just on some day, you run into a store and suddenly there it is: U2: Songs of De(s)cent
  2. May wud seem the most obvious, just b4 they head back to N.America, but we should be hearing sumthing by now surely

  6. This is not a rumour, but rather considering the possible scenarios for this year. So:
a.) no new album this spring and the 360 Tour ends after US/Canada leg
b.) no new album this spring and the 360 Tour continues after US/Canada leg
c.) new album this spring and the 360 Tour ends after US/Canada leg
d.) new album this spring and the 360 Tour continues after US/Canada leg

Which ones are likely to happen and which ones are not?

    In my opinion:
a.) is probably what is going to happen
    b.) is not really likely
c.) is almost impossible - I don't think they would do a single leg (US/Canada) promoting new album
d.) is unlikely because if we want to see it happen, the album should have already been announced, or, in best case, should be announced really soon now. Or we might try looking at this the way around: new tour leg should be announced already or in the very near future. But: do we have enough rumours? I don't think so. I might be wrong though, but it would require a new "Zooropa" from U2.

There is another possibility I didn't mention, because I think it is out of this universe: new album announced and new tour (not a 360 Tour leg) announced after that. This one could happen, but not this spring, and I am quite sure not even this year.
  7. I could see a new album this spring, the tour goes back to Europe for a few shows after the Canada/US leg, and that's that. I very much doubt they'll announce another tour, a different tour, right after this one ends. I could see them taking another long break starting next year sometime.
  8. The Edge, who'd flown in from New York that morning, confirmed that the band was working on demos with Dangermouse. He and Bono hinted that any new studio album was unlikely to be packed with songs. "We were trying to write an album with 'No Line On The Horizon' that had a kind of narrative and if I look back on it now, it's probably too long. Maybe just by one song or two," Bono said. "It's incredible that people think 'Oh gosh I can put 17 songs on this' … it's like more cornflakes in a better box."

  9. What does that even mean? Like they have too many songs once again -______- didn't they say that last time and yet, when it came time to perform Every Breaking Wave, it was unfinished when in December of 08 it was basically done? Confusing stuff

It means that they prefer quality above quantity.
  11. Sunday Times has just come out today talking about how Spiderman is the biggest disaster in Broadway history.
