1. Indeed, especially with the Discotheque bit in it, melts beautifull these two
  2. TRUE...crazy tonight is horrible, the remix i mean. I like the album version, but this is THE BIGGEST WASTE OF THE AUDIENCES TIME ever at a U2 show, or the best bathroom break song in concert history. It takes all of the life out of the audience and energy out of the concert. And PLEASE do not replace that song with anything off of POP, I still listen to that album every couple of years just to see if it really is that bad. maybe i've been missing something, but inevitably it still is really that bad(maybe 3 songs are worth playing live but not over any songs off achtung or joshua tree that haven't been played since those tours either.)
For my last remark, the band has also killed "In a little while" for me, get it out of the set...I'm sure i will have more to complain about once the show gets back to the states.
ps - will there be any surprises this year, like "your blue room", "electrical storm", "unforgettable fire" from the 09 legs and the "ascent(?)" songs from the 2010 legs?

  3. that's right but it should be better Discotheque with Crazy bit in

  4. Sorry but you are lucky enough to get 2 legs and all you're doing is looking for reasons to complain. Of course you aren't going to enjoy the show when you already have such a negative attitude. Crazy remix is awesome!

I went to that bathroom during this song at back in 2009...and to get more beer. I got back just in time for SBS!

One of the few who agreed with my post, to a point anyway. I Love Pop, but thought that remixing a song that sounded like "Walk On," to make it sound like a Pop leftover was weak.

As far as you not liking the Pop Album, look at the back of your cd, if it is clear and shiny, you may be guilty of "Hearing" the album....and not listening. I am guilty of this all the time, and it is kind of like eating food too fast without really tasting it. I have never seen a scratched up copy of Pop at a used CD shop. It is like every single one of them was listened to once, and then banished to the closet. It is not even close to being a Club or Dance record. It is a rock record with a few dance and club overtones in the background in some songs, and in the forefront in a few others. It took me awhile to get past the background vocals of Miami, but when I started to listen to it, I heard a grand song rocking as hard as anything they had ever done.

Sadly, after the critical and fandom death blows Pop received, they stopped expirimenting, and changing their sound. I was all excited when I heard how original and new NLOTH was in the pre-release hype. I like the last 3 albums after Pop an awful lot, but to say anything on them is groundbreaking or new.... was hype to move product. Eno saying that Moment of Surrender was the best moment he has ever had in the studio is about the most ridiculous comment I have ever heard a producer say. It is a decent song, but is it really better than all of Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree? It would not make my top 15 between those two releases.

The closest thing to a different sounding song they have had was "Soon," and of course, instead of releasing it, it is stuck on a 45 rpm record...the same death blow they gave Mercy.

As much as I love U2, they do some frustrating things.

Oddly, many of the lovers of the Crazy Remix are hating on In A Little While, and Stuck in A Moment. I am starting to tire of those as well, but thought they were among the 15 or so best tracks on the last 3 albums.

my pop cd case busted years ago, i've tried to listen and i'm not hearing it...and there are 2 dead parts to the 360 show = crazy remix and the IALW/SIAMYCGOO, so i imagine that those who like crazy remix wouldn't enjoy the other slow part...we all need something to complain about right? And the ENO "MOS" line, maybe not to give hype as much as it is a general feeling of creating a song on the money with everyone pitching in...we hear a lot about the joshua and achtung sessions, maybe thats what they were sessions and nothing ever really came together in one day, but on MOS i believe it could have, and especially Bono's singing, the song is great and very different than any other songs, but alas that song also falls short, way short, live and needs to be removed as the closer to all 360 concerts...end sho with Mothers, and take out crazy remix for In gods country/trip trhrough wires, and take out IALW/SIAMYCGOO and replace them with Trying to throw arms/So Cruel...Please.

Bloody hell, you're so condescending it's unreal. Don't you think that Brian Eno is entitled to express his own opinion?

It's the same as me saying (about you) that you THINK you like Pop, but in reality I know you hate it. Would you appreciate that?
  10. Hey, it is my opinion. I'm not trying to be condescending. I thought Eno was really losing it. MOS is a decent song, almost a great one, but calling it the greatest moment of his career was part of all the hype they did to try to get sales. I doubt he really meant it... Horizon probably would have only moved 30% more if it was a lot better. Nobody buys albums by older artists. Radio doesn't play older artists like it did back in 1985. The huge companies that own Radio think anyone over 40 can only like a few select songs by their fave artists, and neglect to play the new stuff. I heard Boots on the radio only a few times, and it was gone. Maybe Magnificent would've been a better lead single, but that day is done now.
