    I agree 1000%...Radiohead and Oasis have released some of the greatest b sides..and hey..dont forget Rain was the b side of Paperback Writer !....J.L. couldnt believe "Iam the Walrus" was the b side to Hello Goodbye....Cutttooth should have been ON Amnesiac IMO...and Acquiesce and The Masterplan should have been A sides ....
  2. Yeah The Beatles and Radiohead have an abundance of great B-sides. Always have and always will probably. Can't be said for U2 (Where are the B-sides from NLOTH?) But Talk Show Host is my personal favorite <3 Just. soo. good.

    Im curious to see King of Limbs songs live. Give Up the Ghost, Lotus Flower, and Separator are already on youtube from past shows in which Thom performed them acoustic or spare and they sound great. he's so talented. fantastic album, but not in their top 3 - 5 (yet). maybe... ahahaha

    Oddly enough, I was going to mention Oasis in my previous post but thought I'd just stick to Radiohead. "Acquiesce", "The Masterplan," "Half The World Away," "Listen Up," ""Rockin' Chair," "Fade Away," "It's Good To Be Free," "Stay Young," "Going Nowhere," and "Let's All Make Believe" are all stand outs...although I never really appreciated "Talk Tonight" - a fan favourite.

    And yes indeed, how could I forget "Rain." Can't believe it was omitted from The Red Album.

    I too think U2's best work made it onto their albums. In other words, their b-sdies, although relatively abundant, aren't that great, aside from Party Girl, and stuff from late 80's. Not a big fan of their b-sides from the 90's. Some decent tracks from the past decade.

    I too am curious what RH do with the new album in a live venue. Since TKOL is so mellow, you've got to wonder if they'll stick with their more upbeat tracks from earlier albums in order to keep their show from being too ...chill (I can't think of a better word).

    U2 have had some great B-sides but not as of late imo... there's like nothing from the last 2 albums. ahaha the 80s on the other hand was great for them b-side wise. Lol

    I don't imagine Radiohead doing more than 5 out of the 8 songs off this new album (assuming they tour), that's still fine for a show! they do about 25-27 songs live soo even if they do like 5-8 songs live that's still about 20 songs from past albums. Not that big of a problem actually. They got this!

    Using a strong emphasis on the number "10", Thom Yorke and the rest of the guys set up a secret 10-track album combining songs from both records, but decided to release half of the songs 10 years later.

    OK Computer still flows as a proper album- and is an amazing album at that- but follow the directions below and unlock the secret to Rad10head.

    -Create a playlist on iTunes
    -Add "Airbag" as your first song, followed by "15 Step" as your second (These are both the first tracks of their respective albums)
    -Continue alternating between OKC and Rainbows until you've reached "All I Need"- it should be the tenth track.
    -Double check- 10 tracks, alternating selections between OKC and Rainbows (Airbag, 15 Step, Paranoid Android, Bodysnatchers, etc)
    -Set your "crossfade songs" setting to 10 seconds
    -Enjoy

    Radiohead dropped a few clues back in the day, though they were subtle. Thom Yorke later said in an interview that he was surprised it was taking people so long to figure something out.

    Clues...

    -The I and O from "Radiohead" on In Rainbows, down towards the bottom of the album art, are spaced apart just slightly more than the rest of the letters, making a "10"
    -In Rainbows was announced 10 days before it was released
    -The "album" has 10 songs
    -In a message to fans around In Rainbow's release, the band excessively used the letter X (Roman numeral for 10)
    -Crossfade must be set to 10

    It really is quite cool, people. The beats at the end of Airbag mimic the trippy intro of 15 Step, and the crossfade allows the songs to merge together. Nude begins in the drone at the end of Subterranean Homesick Alien. It just...fits. In some places, more than others...but not only does the album have cool transitions- it flows very, very well. Radiohead has amazingly created two albums that, when separate, are brilliant gems- and when COMBINED are just as amazing of a work of art.

    This is NOT just a random coincidence!

    I've had this on an ipod playlist for about a month now (no crossfade, however, as I feel some of the great starts/ends of songs are lost) and I really enjoy the mix...it's the greatest "double album" ever...better than The White Album or Physical Graffiti.

    I've been trying to make a nice mix of Kid A and Amnesiac - Kid Amnesiac (not so original).

    Has anyone hear fo Kid 17? It when you play two Kid A "on top of itself" with a 17-second delay between the start of the second album. Everything in its Right Place sounds pretty cool.. The rest of the album is not such a big deal.

    That sounds like some strange conspriacy theory. In Rainbows and OK Computer were not recorded at the same time. They just sound similar.

  12. I am quite sure OKC and IR weren't recorded at the same time but there's a good chance that many, if not all of the IR tracks were conceived in 1997. The most obvious case is "Nude" (aka Big Ideas) which can be heared in the documentary Meeting People Is Easy.
