  2. welcome to another war...
  3. War started days ago
  4. not officially
  5. I dont think they care about officiality there

Anyway, a shame the people couldnt celebrate their own victory. Lets hope this wont end like the Iraq or Afghanistan.

It won't I guess. Glad that Europe is leading this, not US. I just hope that it isn't too late and that Gadaffi wont go mental and do some big shit over it's people.

  7. Will be interesting to see if the western troops will bomb the rebels, too once they march on Tripoli...

Otherwise they'd break their own laws (if they didn't already with the resolution)... tricky situation.
  8. Still its weird the whole situation. Libya is one of the richer countries in that region. Was fairly stable, the difference between rich and poor was not that big (relatively speaking) and all basic needs were heavily subsidised.

Now they all break it apart, for the next decade they will be off worse.
  9. and as usual, if the whole situation gets out of hand, western troops will be faced with weapons, western countries sold their buddy Gaddafi - I guess we'll never learn.
  10. True, also we barely know how many people are on each side. You can fill stadiums with 10% of the population, but is that enought to justify a war?

    fair point
  12. I think the west should not interfere, it's an internal matter, despite how difficult the situation is. Did we interfere in civil wars in for example Africa? It's a tricky situation, looking at the news it seems everyone is armed. Did they really think Khadaffi would surrender easily?

Strange year so far, 2011, All this poitical unrest, natural disasters, and today my dear polar bear died, Knut in Berlin. Ok, that's at another level off course, still makes me sad.
