1. Just realized in my original post I forgot about Zooropa not being touched last night, but, it works with my other point- Stay has been played this tour. So yeah.
  2. With that u2gigs article, I'd have thought HMTMKMKM would've been part of the Passengers era (1995). Same with YBR and Miss Sarajevo.

I think the band lately perceives yelling and jumping as "a hell of a reaction". Sure, Vertigo fits in, Elevation too. But it is easy to draw the incorrect conclusion here because Stay and Bad are not easy songs to jump to.

People walking out on MoS? I was just one of a few thousand people who left the show before the last song back in 2005 because I knew it would be Vertigo. Yes, the train (a few hundred meters from the stadium) was packed full before the end of the concert.

Lots of Popmart shows ended with Wake Up Dead Man, most of Zoo TV shows ended with Love Is Blindness / Can't Help Falling In Love, and lots of Lovetown and The Joshua Tree tour shows ended with 40. I find those songs closer to MoS than to Vertigo. Still, I don't see many people complain about those songs being downers or anything.

That's what I think too - and you can't really jump to Stay, Bad, Blinding Lights, MoS, Without You etc because they're more emotional and ballad-type songs. But if everyone in the stadium or arena is singing along, loudly, I'd say that's still some kind of reaction. Whether they're singing along or shouting out the song sucks or talking to their friend next to them...that's questionable. I've had it happen at shows I've been to.

''Nice way to support the band, idiot!''

I'm not sure many people outside of the U2 fan community know what LiB actually means. Even I don't know what it means truly, though for whatever reason I think it's about war, death and / or bombings. I also heard once it was about an orgasm, and that's kind of an interesting way to end a show if indeed that's the case. You can almost certainly guess what Can't Help Falling In Love is about but LiB...that I'm not sure on.

Wake Up Dead Man is a pretty sombre way to end the show. Then again so is MoS.

  3. I dont know. Altought I dont really like the live versions of Magnificent I still prefer it over Crazy and Boots. MoS is the best live song of NLOTH which they are playing now, UC and NLOTH were so much better than Boots and Crazy that I really wonder why they droped it, I mean NLOTH instead of Boots would work right?

Thanks to Sergio and MacPhisto for the recordings, would like to hear UV andStuck again.

    You didn't just say that.

Boots is a great song live. Then again I loved it when I first heard it.
  5. this tour has nothing to do with the NLOTH album anymore. it just seems to be a tour for the sake of it, taking in the parts of the world they haven't visited for a while and then going back to america again to make them more money...

i won't be sad when it ends cos to me it just seems all a bit aimless now...!?

i think that unless it's billed as a greatest hits tour then a tour should be to promote a new album and it's over two years since NLOTH
  6. I don't know if this has been brought up too much yet, but I thought last night's version of Bad was great...Bono to me sounds a lot better than he has on the "wide awake" part in a long time...

I agree. This tour feels very weird to me. I feel like its becoming a missed opportunity with how amazing the stage is to have to sit through IALW and Walk ON and even MS is becoming very boring to me IMO

yeah totally - this tour will go down in my mind as the missed opportunity tour... obviously its just my personal opinion but i think that about 70% of the setlist has been totally wrong for such an amazing stage... this should've been the tour where they went back to re-visiting some of their epic 90's songs which would've worked amazingly in that setting but the fact that not ONE SINGLE SONG from pop has been played pretty much sums that whole subject up

when i see them on stage now it just seems so stale compared to back in 2009... it looks like they're just going through the motions. i know thats probably not the case but it just feels that way to me..

it's a cynical thing to say but the only reason i can think of as to why they are still doing it is to make more and more money which considering their already vast wealth makes me feel pretty sad...

I knew that I didn't say anything too stupid here. I said I was sure everyone noticed it was a new arrangement and that it sounded a little like the Perfecto Mix at the beginning. Also I appreciate certain people sort of picking up for me but I know just as much about this band and their setlists and everything else. Yeah, that's true. (See what I did there?)

  10. Thanks Sergio for putting this up and also to Macphisto for recording this

  11. Thank you again Macphisto ....and Sergio for the quick upload !!!
