1. Hypothetically, if U2 was still touring 10 years from now, which songs from NLOTH do you think they'd still regularly play in their setlists? Maybe MOS? Other than that, I'm not sure....maybe nothing?!
  2. Okay looking at this album now I'd say....

    1. No Line On The Horizon - 9/10
    2. Magnificent - 7/10
    3. Moment of Surrender - 10/10
    4. Unknown Caller - 9/10
    5. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Crazy Tonight - 9/10
    6. Get On Your Boots - 4/10
    7. Stand Up Comedy - 4/10
    8. Fez-Being Born - 9/10
    9. White As Snow - 7/10
    10. Breathe - 10/10
    11. Cedars Of Lebanon - 9/10

I'd give it a nice and round 8.0

I still listen to it occasionally. But I always skip Boots & SUC. IMO They completely ruin the album.
I reckon in a couple of years, after a new album has been released, even Bomb will be getting a better run on whatever tour they are on than NLOTH. The only thing they might keep is MoS. No way they'll keep Boots though when it is such a flop.... Especially as they will need the spot for Stuck

Next tour MoS, Magnificent and possibly Boots. After that, in 10 years? MoS will get an occasional play, same for Magnificent, NLOTH and Breathe. But I'm not sure anything will become a setlist cert like One, Vertigo, BD, Streets etc.
  4. And maybe they'll dig out something like Fez and discover how great it is^

Just take a look at how many songs from All That You Can't Leave Behind they regularly play 10 years after its release.

  6. They obviously like ATYCLB better than NLOTH. The band didn;'t give up on songs like Walk On, In A Litlle While, and Stuck In A Moment because they were better received by their audiences back in 2001. It might have something to do with the venue/set. Unfortunately, it will be difficult for them to resurrect those NLOTH songs. They probably will feel the same way they do about the Pop tracks today - and we know how often they (don't) play those ones.
  7. I still like Boots. Great little song.
  8. I like it a lot on the album too. Lots of things happening all at once, much different to the sparser songs on the album. It's great live too.
  9. I also really like Boots, it's one of the albums highlights. When I first heard it I thought it was pretty crap, but that song has really grown on me and it never gets boring Like Magnificent does.

    Boots is great!
  10. I've always liked Boots and I feel a kind of smug justification that more people are starting to appreciate it.
