    Keep your recordings, like I said, it really is not a big deal, seriously. Moving on!

    PS: maybe you should PM the poster that is upset with you on this thread about Depeche Mode, certainly looks like they think you screwed them. Might want to get that cleared up.


    Maybe it is the approach of all the people who tried to get something for free for nothing in return - Perhaps you will donate gifts to everyone who is asking for it - I am not really into doing this, despite what you all might think now, I don't care. Because life is a give and take, that's one of my principles.

    You shouldn't try to intervene in something, you didn't get even involved in - that might be a tactical stroke, even without ascribing any intention to your person. (But at least I also would do some help on IEM by myself - PN only, should be not such a big problem)

    At least "I haven't picked you" out -as you stated - maybe you got the wrong impression -Possibly you are not the "miserable" guy as I was convinced you might be, sorry if not. I certainly took your posting as serious personal insult, because I really disliked the tone of them, considering them as inapprobiate.

    As you said, move on, I got other turkeys to shoot, you might too I think

    No tactical stroke, I do not even know who the person is and I do not care about Depeche Mode in any way, shape or form. You focused on my post and someone else posted something really a lot worse than what I did and you seemed to ignore that. I was merely pointing it out.

    ( I usually frown on cross-posting, but first time I have ever done it on this site.)

    I can promise anyone this: If I ever, ever, ever...get hold of a rare concert recording, I will not suddenly turn into some member of the Royal Family, and feel like I am so much better than the rest of the world...that the recording has to die with me. I do not feel I am better than anybody else...

    and somebody mentioned that the recordings may be private, like your own photo album...well if it was your music, sure, but it is U2 on the damb CD, not your bloated Mother in Law's third cousin.

    Just think about it: We all are going to die someday. 40,000 years from now, NOBODY, not even the most dedicated U2 fan in that era will give a crap who I_Will_Follow6969 was on some stupid message board. (If this world exists 40,000 years from now, U2 will likely not be any part of popular culture, but we can always hope)

    If you have something that some pig faced holier than thou trader taped....release it. Since we are all going to die, why not let everybody here enjoy it while we can. Although I don't have much of a collection, I will always do my best to share what I have. I'd love to have a non-downloaded copy of the Las Vegas Pop Mart DVD show...but nobody will even make me a dvd-r of it. Someday I hope to see that show, but I am holding out hope that I will get to see it. I have never said no to anybody asking for anything from me that is even close to reasonable. Well, that's my point.

  12. Take my quote for what it is. I have great respect for those who risk getting thrown out of a U2 concert for sharing the experience with us. I don't have much respect for someone who hoards a recording, keeping it out of circulation to somehow self-gloss themselves as some sort of Diety.

    If you record a show, you are not required to share it. It is your right to do whatever you please. Yes, you have the right to keep it for yourself. That doesn't mean I can't call you out for being selfish and pig faced. I have the right to voice my opinion as well. If I ever record a show, I will share it with anyone who wants it for free, no questions asked. Does that make me better than the taper who hoards shows? No, but I believe when you tape a show, and then you go out of your way to show how you are better than everyone else because you have a un-circulating show, that you are a pig faced idiot.

    Of course, everyone has a right to be a selfish idiot, just like I have the right to give my opinion here about those who participate in such acts. Just because I would share any recording I have...does not make me better than anyone else, or that much more of a human being. It is just a damb bootleg people...but that moment of magic U2 produced on that tape you sacrificed your life to make...does not belong to you only. Damb near anybody could have turned you in to the venue, or worse, obstructed the recording on purpose.
