1. It does rather seem antithetical to fannish culture, at least as I've experienced it, to not just share files freely. I have to admit I don't understand this "trading" of digital files.

  2. As you said...-...Unfortunately you yourself are the most beautiful example therein

Someone like you doesn't deserve any geniune respect in general - to gain such you should learn to comply with the minimum standards of appropriate behavior in a human society or do you belong to apes and pigs, maybe?

Seek professional help, get back (in)to where you once belonged (literally meant, people from eastern europe may be acquainted with this phrase ) or at least stop gabbling ike an ape

PS: I am just wondering about the response of @t Blue_Room, I think he wouldn't be very pleased too about the nice poem Mr. pleasegone wrote, but of course I won't anticipate anything.

Haha just trying to shine some light on the situation but you obviously live a sad sad life mate... That is all
  6. Btw I'm a bachelor of law and commerce so I think I'm educated enough...

  7. Not really, could be richer of course - I am sorry disappointing you. Quite simplier as you thought: Sometimes enjoying a discourse, that's all. Maybe a kind of misunderstanding on my side - The posting of Mr. pleasegone was quite an insult to every taper, because he considered us forehand as "idiots", if we (dare!) to refuse giving everything for free to the public

I am delighted to hear that-I am a qualified engineer, tending to be sarcastic sometimes, maybe bringing this "serious" thread back to life - so you shouldn't take it too serious, sorry for any inconvenience, anyway

    If...will...would...
I can promise you, if I ever become U2's manager, I'll get you all soundboards of every gig ever done for free. You can quote me on that!

As long as you only talk about recording instead of doing it, who are you to whine about non sharing tapers? You obviously have no idea why some stuff doesn't circulate or even why people tape.

Why don't you buy some high end gear, produce a good recording, share it freely and come back afterwards?

In the meantime you're just proving that the teenagers you talk about in that other topic aren't the only brain-dead people out there.

Because life is a give and take, that's one of my principles.

don't even try to have them on this forum change their minds.
they are all about the "you don't have the rights to hoard" when they don't get their ass out to tape.

and yet when you release something into the wild they don't give a flying fuck, they repost it everywhere they can, convert it to lossy and they don't even ask you anything before.

i've seen that once again with my audio from Dublin I that was reposted on the torrent section here just after i first seeded it at u2torrents, without even asking me for permission when they clearly know i don't want that to happen.

the team taking care of the site doesn't care about anything but making money off the ads from the site ...

I don't know... it might have to do do with the reason that we are FANS of U2??? maybe?

I mean, I can tape it! is just that it wouldn't be any good! I sing along with every song, and I'm quite loud the rest of the concert... and I actually want to see the show and not worry about taping it.

I'm a cinematographer, and sometimes a operate camera in concerts, but I refuse to do it on the bands I want to see!

I have absolute respect for tapers, they do something I'm not willing to do, I prefer to enjoy the concert. And they have every right to keep their recordings to them selfs.

Funny comment indeed, something unexpected here. But I totally agree, maybe I wasn't frank and direct enough like you

But it wasn't actually my attention to change the world, or at least change their minds as most of them are obviously can only chant like sheeps: "Gimme Gimme - Where are all of your stereo IEM's?" to cite for e.g. the most persistent beggar, whiner and annoying plague (being polite and PC as I would easily find other terms for sure) without mentioning the name: "it's difficult for me to record U2 cause they came not very often to South America (34 times if I'm right) -the usual bad excuses and a lot of hot air about nothing...

In addition most of the people are only friendly till they get what they want, but most of them show their true face as appearently enough isn't enough (greed is considered as a cardinal sin, isn't it?), and start complaining and getting insulting if they don't get a show approx. 1 minute a show have already finished. - something you should keep also mind, Julien. Of course they don't get their ass out to tape or showing any respect for your wishes...- their behaviour depicts just an image of their real world..what else do you expect from them?

At least I don't care about the masses as I tape for myself and very few other people, not even thinking the split of a second of sharing my recordings with them, although this haven't been my policy eight years before, but I have my very good reasons for doing it since then.

To conclude my short essay let me say that I really enjoyed your interesting comments on U2torrents (not to forget your wife)

Yo, last but not least I throw also something in the wild public but in addition I also wanted to show some deep consideration and respect for them and therefore here is something in your preferred format (MP3') you may not heard (the quality is at least my benchmark for Aud - recordings) before -you can clap and sing along, if you want:

    https://rapidshare.com/files/4051886767/U2-Wien_01_1.mp3
    https://rapidshare.com/files/3820069403/U2_Maksimir_2009.mp3
https://rapidshare.com/files/3086044531/Laibach_16_05_11_Vienna.mp3 not U2 but focussing on my most recent work

    What else to say?
nothing more than thank you for your attention and good night
  12. you're gonna be labelled as a "who the fuck is he to tease us with iem samples" you know?
sometimes i wish this site did not exist, the u2 trading world would be much better without it ...
