Obviously this only relates to the BBC in UK, but as you can see the entire performance may not be shown and in my passed experience of watching Glastonbury they tend to show headline acts in bits. So they may join 3 songs in and then show for an hour then show other bits later in the show. For Springsteen they didn't show it all in one go. Guns N Roses didn't show any as I remember. Oasis was shown in bits and across the BBC stations ie Two, Three & Four also red button.
  2. I think with all the technology these days, we will end up with the whole performance in bits and bats (repeats, red button, cross channel coverage etc). Get your tape recorders out, as the big B once said!

box and then putting onto my own DVD collection that I have. If I honestly had the time I would do copies for everyone, however If Remy can recomend anyone that I could send a copy to and they could distribute then I would be happy to.

Hmm, as Bart, I don't have BBC 4.
I'll be watching BBC 2 then, hopefully I'll catch up something
And probably there will be some HD footage short afterwards too then.

  4. sounds like you are in the same boat I am. How can we watch this on Americas East Coast without getting the UK hard drive stuff? Will it be online?
  5. Dont worry, I guess it will be online. Such a big festival will always be showed online if you ask me
  6. Nearly down to single figures in the countdown hard to believe its already been a year since Edge joined Muse on stage
  7. To my knowledge, BBC broadcasted all the headline performers at the Pyramid stage. They may have done so online as well, but I'm not sure.

I do know that there is high quality footage of Muse's entire performance on youtube.
  8. How much did U2 get for playing Glasto?

  9. I don't think we'll ever get any official figures about U2's concrete appeareance, but headliners use to be paid between 200.000 and 1.000.000 £.

Oke, because I just read a rumour that the organisator of Pinkpop was very close of singing U2 for this years festival. Coldplay is the higgest paid band in Pinkpop history with 1.3 milion euro. And 1 million pounds is 1.2 million euro's so it could be possible
  11. regarding BB King .. what about Bono and Edge joining him in his set for When love comes to town?
sincerely i'd prefer this way .. i'm not a lover of that song at all

I prefer it that way too, I like your idea. When Love Comes To Town doesn't deserve to be in U2's Glastonbury set, but Bono joining BB King in that song would be fantastic (When Love Comes To Town is almost a staple in BB's setlists)
