1. Desire S experiment over. Back to N8.
  2. Anyone here know a good way to start a mailing discussion list?
  3. Any website buffs know of a way to auto-refresh a page? For example, when on U2start following a show on the thread, is there a way to pop open the java/script for the page, copy and paste in some sort of refresh code, and have my connection refresh the site every 15 seconds to keep up with the conversation?

I know nothing about formatting a website so I have no idea if this is at all possible...could be a cool idea for an add on, too, if you (U2start) can manipulate it from your end and make it something a user could toggle on and off (Auto refresh by : __ seconds).

I don't like the idea of implementing the auto-refresh ourselves... it can be a pain in the ass for our server, specially on show nights when a lot of users are connected at the same time...

Nevertheless, it can absolutely be done - although I think it can be done by you as a third user and not the web programmer, I don't find the way...

EDIT. Found it. I gotta loooooooooove the internet. Everything is there.

  5. There are addons for firefox / chrome that can do auto refresh indeed.

On the u2start todo list there is something similar but its far from being realised

  6. I guess just for the sake of knowing. Some sites/hubs require bootlegs to be lossless and lossless only, and I was hoping I could share the show that way as well.

Then, I'm afraid you can't. MP4 is lossy, only (common) lossless formats are DV and XDCAM.

  8. Ah, good to know! Thanks for the info. Funny enough, the camera I wanted to use to film the show records DV video. Might use this camera if I can go to Lollapalooza in a few months.
