1. It is, because they become so attached. We had this one a year or so, he was a stray, we took him in, got him all trained up and then he's gone. So sad - cancer, internal bleeding, if you can name it he probably had it.

That sounds like an awesome gallery - I'd love to go to a late-night gallery thing where they do music and have drinks and all that kind of cool stuff; but I guess dingy pubs around here do that just as well - saw the band Chain a few weeks ago, incredible atmosphere - started at 10 and finished at 2am. I could imagine them doing that here in Adelaide with our gallery....actually, no I couldn't. This is Adelaide, the most progressive city in Australia. Yeah, sure.

Might be hitting a karaoke joint this Friday which'll be great.
  2. Wzup anyone?
  3. Hey dude!

Karaoke is awesome fun. Last time we went, one of my friends who sings for a living absolutely brought the house down when she did that old Tom Jones song, Delilah. Had the whole place singing along.

I'm surprised to hear that about Adelaide, I would have thought it'd be a place with lots of culture-vulture things to do. It always strikes me like that when I'm there. But then I think most of the rest of Oz probably doesn't think of Brisbane as a place with awesome art, music and food, which it kind of is these days.
  5. That would be so much fun to be there. I've never done karaoke and even though I'm not the best singer out there (pretty bloody terrible), it'll still be a great night. There are things to do in Adelaide, but finding them is half the trouble - Friday and Saturday nights are probably the best, though I've seen pubs and places with banners of live music and entertainment on weekdays too. When I was in Melbourne for U2, I was looking through some book and it had loads of bands and stuff on - wish I'd stayed longer than three days.

The Fringe was fantastic too, that had some awesome stuff - went to two shows, and next week I think it is is Damien Leith, so I'm doing that and then Meat Loaf in October which should be all great fun. But it's all mostly the bigger stuff in March; not to say there isn't stuff all year round though.
  6. I've listened to some vinyl today, Sgt. Peppers and side 1 of Abbey Road. Beatles are sublime!
  7. I thought when you wrote 'side' you said Dark Side Of The Moon. I need to focus....yeah Abbey Road is good, probably the only one I know and I did like some of it. I have Help and another one I've never listened to properly and probably not so much any time soon. What did you like about it?

Did you listen to the Bruce Springsteen stuff you picked up a while back? I've listened to The Rising and quite like it.
  8. First of all, just caught wind of the conversation above me, and "The Rising" is an awesome album. Maybe his last good one.

Anyway I came on here to tell those who were interested before that today is the day of my big show!. My band hits the stage at 8:40PM...hope it all goes well! No U2 tonight, but I'm thinking there might be some in out set Saturday night. Here's hoping, anyway. There will surely be video around by the end of the week, for those who were interested.
  9. You mean The Rising and Darkness? If so, yes, both excellent albums!

Sorry for dropping out, life is hard where I am, was forced to pick raspberries and eat them with ice cream

That's awesome Matt! It's the festival this time, right?
  10. Nope, never heard Darkness. That's my next one. That is a hard life, I have to say. Hard, indeed.

Good luck with the show tonight Matt. As I said, I reckon you'll do well (at least I think I did), so good luck with that. Can't wait to see video.
  11. Darkness has one song I don't like, the rest is just thrilling. Racing in the Streets is beyond words!

I really want video of Matt and his band too
  12. I'm definitely gonna grab it along with some other stuff. After a few good albums actually, not sure what to get. Maybe, dunno.

That video should be great. How you been?
