    Haa Haaa.Nice.As someone who attended both Montreal shows,and last nights gig in Philly,I must say the band sound great.I really enjoyed these shows in 2011 more than my two 2009 shows.

    As a longtime U2 fan,I must say N2 in Montreal ,was a top 10 show for me,and it was show 39.My first show,was April 1st,1985.

    So please,as Sergio said, stop bitching about this great band.They played Zooropa and Scarlet.A bunch off AB.Not to mention,but I will,Your Blue Room in 2009.2010s European Tour, was one of the bands best,EVER.

    They have NOT become the Rolling Stones.The Stones havent had a "hit", or a meaningful release, in 30 yrs (Tattoo You,1981).U2 have had many great songs in the last 10 yrs,mostly off ATYCLB and HTDAAB.Sometimes You Cant Make It On Your Own, is a song I simply adore.They are still relevant (NOT OUT OF DATE).

    I cant wait for July 20th in NJ.......Peace.
  5. Also, I'm getting a bit bored with the whole "U2 should play more Pop songs" rhetoric. Seriously.
    Pop was a decent album with a few winners, but not many. I honestly think Discotheque, Mofo, Staring At The Sun, and Please were the strongest songs on the album and of those 4, I only think Staring At The Sun and Please would work well at this point. Mofo comes on strong, but doesn't fit the band's current mood, seeing how they moved past self-deprecation and satire. Discotheque could easily replace Crazy Tonight, but I'm actually glad it's only showed up as a snippet instead.




    I love when people say that they should not play the pop songs. That shows how many people are stuck in the 80's and it fucks all of us that wants to hear the mid to late 90's being played if you want to hear the 80's go buy or download them from itunes. But thanx all the songs you mentioned up above ther have more emotion than the 80's put together!!!!!!!!!

    I don't even know what you're trying to say, but what I'm going to say is that the initial suggestion that the band should play more Pop songs was a valid suggestion. However, with the tour almost complete and the pro-Pop rhetoric going on for basically years, I will admit that I am bored of it. It's become equivalent to nagging at this point.

    However, I also said that the band has many good reasons not to play their Pop songs. The album did not sell well, the tour associated with it was not very popular, and the general mood of many Pop songs do not fit with the band's current motif. The only songs I believe are worth playing at this point are Please and Staring At The Sun. Mofo sounds great live, but it doesn't seem to fit with the general mood of the 360 Tour. For that same reason, I never thought HMTMKMKM integrated well with the rest of the 360 setlist.

    I, personally, would rather hear them play more songs from HTDAAB and a couple rarities from ATYCLB, such as Kite. Pop was a good album, but I somehow was never able to really relate to it as well as the others.

    Kite should have made an appearance on this tour. Would have worked well in Miss Sarajevo's spot.

    Mofo/Discotheque medley could/should have replaced "Crazy."

    Staring At The Sun would have been an obvious track to rotate in with Stay and Stuck.

    A shortened version of Please between either SBS and Walk On or One and Streets.

    Agreed.Kite,full band Stuck,SYCMIOYO all could have been played a few times.Yahweh, could have rotated as well.I love that song acoustic,from Chicago 2005.....I also like Original Of The Species...the live version from Milan 2005 is amazing....
