    Earth shattering stuff.

Oh yeah actually you're right. I guess that show sucked..
  2. Finally, here's the story of my U2 experience in New Jersey

I arrived at the stadium just after Interpol ended. It was perfect since I didn't had GA tickets. First of all, I have to say I'm still very impressed with the organization of the hole thing. Brazil still needs to learn a lot about organization, even if we didn't had big problems here.

The stadium itself already is a big thing. I was in the section 321, but I had a great view of the claw and the band. At that spot, all the claw effects were cleary visible and the sound was great too!

About the show, as you already know, I love Even Better as a opener. It really rocks up the things and it's an amazing way to make me jump.

About The Fly, man, you don't have an idea about how much I missed see it live. Long time since my first U2 gig in Sao Paulo (2006). And It was better than ever in my opinion. Edge was really on fire during the hole night.

Two more songs and I have to say that I loved that Achtung Baby first seg, even if I'm a little tired of Mysterious Ways.

I Will Follow came and I already was wet and without my voice since the weather was too hot. And for the first time in that night, I saw people outside the GA jumping. This song is really a rock song. Glad I had the chance to see it live for the 4th time!

Boots came with a good reception thing and then I got the first surprose of the night: Magnificent. My third fav song in all it's glory and with its beautiful and powerful intro. I was so glad to hear it since I wasn't following the last gigs setlists. Biggest part of people gave a good reception to this song too.

Talking about favorite songs, my second one came just after Magnificent, and I loved that sequence. I Still Haven't Found still gaves me goosebumps everytime I listen to it live. Such a powerfull song with great vibrations!

Then Bono introduced Stay and I really got scared after listen to the first lines of Stuck. It was very funny, and I got the first live performance of Stay in my life. It was so beautiful and perfect. Even better than I thought it would be.

After this, one of the highlights of the hole night. That new Beautiful Day intro is a piece of art. That guy playing in space and saying those beautiful words before the song start is something huge. One of the best things U2 ever done in my opinion since it totally matchs with the song and it really gives you that feeling of "something big is happening". Really awesome!

Elevation came and you also should know Brazilians always will jump during that song, even if it's Elevation haha

I just don't like the sequence Elevatiion-Pride. I'd like to see Elevation early in the set and Pride following Beautiful Day. Anyway, Pride still gave me goosebumps and it's one of the best stadium songs in my opinion. Really lovely performace.

Miss Sarajevo came and I could see a tired Bono with a lot of heart. It was not his best sing, but it looked like he was giving his best.

ABout Zooropa, well, I saw the first 2 performances of the song in Brazil and it just keeps being one of teh best parts of the show. Totally awesome. Adam and Edge sounded amazing. I really could feel that bass and guitar going right into my soul, and that scream is a show itself during this song.

City Of Blinding Lights didn't got the audience's reception I was expecting, but I really don't care since that lights pointing right into the infinity of the sky put me on the mood the enjoy 100% of the song.

After it, Vertigo and all its glory. You really should see the power this song has over my legs. I really hope U2 keep playing it forever. It's not my fav U2 song, but there's a magic rock power in it during live concerts. Really awesome!

As I predicted, people put their asses on their seats during Crazy Tonight, and I was jumping alone in the middle of them. Actually, this happened during several songs in the hole night, but I didn't care since I wasn't expecting something different. American audiences are very differrent from our audiences here, but this wasn't a problem for the band. They were in great shaped and looked very happy during the hole night. By the way, that Discotheque snippet is so freaking amazing! Only God knows how I'd react if they play the full song someday.

Nice time Sunday Bloody Sunday. It was one of the best performaces of this song in a show I attended. Bono sung it very well and Larrys drums were quite good too!

Rejoice came and I have to say that I love Edges guitar here. Really touching!

Walk On came and I thought they could put another song in that spot. Or put a rotation with Walk On and other song. Well, maybe know it's too late for this, but in my opinion, I was glad to see Walk On back, but I guess we got a little tired of it in the end of he tour.

One once again got a nice reception coming from the audience, and I love that 90's images in the scream. Always nice to see 110000 people singing with our boys too!

Then, the best snippet leading into Streets. Bono singing Hallelujah gave me goosebumps and the transition into Streets is the best of the tour in my opinion. Edge started playing those chords and I started crying while jumping. I couldn't belive I was at my favorite bands show in New York. I t was another dream coming true. The 5th of this tour for me. Streets is the best song ever made, and it's the most powerfull song too. I just couldn't stop jumping once again. I guess this is my normal behaviour during Streets but my mother told me people looked me with weird faces haha. Maybe they were thinking "what the hell this guy with the Brazilian U2 shirt is doing?' This kind of behaviour (mine) is something I missed in New Jersey. Even if people looked like they were enjoying the show, something was missing. The band were gaving 100% there, so a more powerfull audience would match their performance. Or maybe I just got used with Brazilian audiences going way too crazy. Anyway, I'd loved to see more people jumping there...

Batman once again was awesome. Reallt top shit, even if I'd rather seeing Ultra Violet, Batman is so much powerfull.

Nice performace of With Or Without You and really lovely sign and reactions during MoS.

Then, I remembered the dream I had last night. It was just a flash, but I could cleary remember of Bono singing "monday morning 18 years ago..."

After this, the band came together and gave that look to the audience and I imediately thought "man, this is my last U2 gig in years. This can't end right now" and Bono said "one more". I knew they were about to play OoC. I just knew. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life for sure. I just exploded in happiness. Not that happiness I felt during my birthday with them in Paris or when my brother carried me up during Streets here in Brazil. It was something different. Something like a "I have a onection with this band" or "what a awesome way to say goodbay for me U2". It was magical. Best thing it could be happened and I couldn't believe in my eyes. I just screamed and jumped with all my streight and soul. My final goodbye to U2 in years. A retribution to this bands and the lovely moments they gave to me, the moments of my life.

I'll post some pics later. Too late now and I have to sleep.

    Greetings from Brazil!
