Originally posted by EDDMB: I was really hoping for something live,on this release, circa 1992.The band recorded the Yankee Stadium shows (and Im sure many other gigs in '92).They did release LIB live, on the Stay cd release. So why not include that track, and a few more from that show ? Whats with the lack of live material on this release ? And whats with all the remix cd's ?.I never listen to all those ridiculous ultra remix versions.Thats not U2.I want the BANDS versions, or outtacks, rare live versions OF THE BAND.Not a Howie B or Flood ultra dub club hub night vision version remix. But,hey, thats just me.
Im not complaining,(well, maybe I'am)but, the Sydney DVD is included ? Really ? Like most,I already BOUGHT that, when it was FINALLY released on DVD, a few years back.Imagine, if the band included Rattle and Hum, with the JT deluxe set, instead of the Live in Paris gig.
The Live In Sydney CD (fanclub release) would have been nice treat.I already have it,but I know many, who were not in the fan club back then.U2 ,as we all know,do not like to release live cd's.
I will ,of course, buy some version. But this,at first glance, seems to be a bit of a disappointment.A missed opportunity.I would have,no question, put up big $$$ if a live DVD (not Sydney),or a live cd from that period was included.Oh well.Cant say Im shocked, just disappointed.
Pretty much agree with you on all of your points.
