1. would love to have the uber box but its too expensive, i pre-ordered the super deluxe set
  2. 1991, brought the cd, 1993 brought the fly shades at one of the concerts I went to, 1994 brought Sydney on VHS, 2006 brought Sydney again on DVD... I can't see any reason why I should buy any edition, bet I do though.
  3. I'm happy with my Achtung Baby don't need a Remaster. Lol! These words from me....
  4. I'd like the shades but I think I might try to get them elsewhere. If I got the uber-edition, I'd be afraid to open it.

Well, what I liked alot, about the JT re-release,1)Live in Paris DVD,2)the unreleased material.

When a band re-release something that I already have,my first thought is "Whats this release have that I dont have and that I really want ? "

Are there unreleased songs with this reissue ?

Why is Zooropa a part of this version of AB ? They were not recorded at the same time.According to the bands quotes in the book,U2 by U2,Zooropa was recorded mostly at the end of 1992,and early 1993.Some tracks were even recorded in May of 1993, as the band were playing gigs in Europe.

IMO,Zooropa has nothing to do with AB.The ZooTV tour,in 1992, was the AB tour.It has everything to do with AB.The tour, supported the album.

Marketing a live DVD,that most U2 fans have, doesnt make sense to me.Why not the Stockholm gig,or any show from 1992 ? UTEOTW (Alternative NRG -Greenpeace cd) and LIB (Stay single) were both released live, from 1992. Why not include those 2, and a few more on a single disc ??

The 1992 ZooTV tour, was the tour for AB. I know this re-release,isnt a "celebration" of ZooTV.But,if the band didnt release AB,ZooTV wouldnt have happened right ? They go hand in hand. The Sydney show, was recorded a full 2 years after AB.That show, was supporting the Zooropa release from July of 1993,more so than AB. IMO,it makes all the sense in the world, to release a show from 1992.Zooropa, should have been a separate release.

How can someone say it sounds "great" if you're listening from the outside of the building?! I mean, remasters are most appreciated when listened quietly, specially with good headphones or a hi-fi sound system... and listening from the street, underneath a window where a faint sound's coming through.... oh well. I guess that person says he can tell the difference between a 128 and a 160 kbps mp3 too?

  7. Oh, oh, oh. A 128 kbps mp3 sounds really shit. specifically if you hear with headphones.

Ed i'm with you with you say
but trying to make cold and shameful thoughts here what we have ...
Zooropa as an outtake of Achtung baby (wrong) and the choice of the dvd is in that direction .. Sydney includes both. thinking in this their way they could choose another show from the zooropa or zoomerang leg .. at least Adelaide but no .. Sydney again..
  9. U2 hates us Adelaidians, theyd never bless us with an official DVD release
