  3. It was barely one chorus, but enough for me to want more. It was apparent they rehearsed a heavy rocking version (for glasto).

    A glaring omission for me was how Night & Day came together, which I believe was the missing link between R&H and AB.

    I was also really puzzled about the JT-era comment that they didn't have enough material for a stadium show?! A typical JT-tour setlist is 23-25 songs, much like it is today.
    The first time I saw them (Lovetown) they didn't even have enough time to play New Year's Day or Bad.
    That's what you get for playing 7min versions of streets, all I want is you, wowy, love rescue me, etc...

    btw did anyone notice the blues jam with Stevie Ray Vaughan (R&H outtakes), who would coincidentally get killed one week prior to U2's arrival in Berlin? I had no idea they had ever shared the stage.

  5. I liked the acoustic version of Love is Blindness with just the edge singing, they should do that live next tour.
  6. It was so great when they were listening to The Fly and Bono just hated that version.
  7. There was nothing wrong with that version. Bono hated it because it was the wrong mix (probably IEM for Edge or Dallas' personal mix), which is why he asked for Joe's mix (Joe O'Herlihy), what we were hearing anyway, altough it could've been added in post production.
  8. I really like what I saw there. 'Let's listen it back', Edge with his notebook, I would defenitely like to see more of that material.
  9. Having seen the footage of So Cruel, Love Is Blindness and Wild Horses, It's a shame U2 are not including an extra DVD in the Reissue of a '2011style' performance of the complete album live on a soundstage like the one Springsteen did of Darkness On the Edge Of Town on that reissue last year.

    I think the people who were disappointed were expecting the wrong thing. This movie was made to show how U2 made the transition from serious, black and white U2 of the 80's, into colourful, ironic, funny, "arrogant" U2 of the 90's, and I think it did an amazing job of that.

    As for Bono talking a lot more than the others, isn't that to be expected? Hasn't anyone here seen a U2 interview? 80% of the talking comes from Bono, unless the interviewer specifically asks somebody. Maybe they thought Bono opened up the most and what he said was the most interesting and revealing. To be honest, all of the Bono didn't bother me becuase I was really intriguied with most of the things he had to say. Some of it was things we've heard many times, but others not so much. U2 doesn't like to talk about their past most of the time, so this movie was tough for them to make probably. I'm really happy with the result!
