1. Where was it shown? Tuschinski?

  2. When the studio version of The Fly was played towards the end, it sounded a bit quicker than it should be. Made it sound better actually.
  3. EBTTRT also sounded faster, didnt like that. Maybe it was just to cut the time.
  4. On another note, I liked it very much
  5. I have noticed before in movies that the songs sound a tad quicker. Don't know why that is.

I thought EBTTRT sounds great; good to see that they fixed that mistake after the solo.

Don't think so. Speeding up a song by a 3 or 4% (smallers speedings-up are hardly noticeable) can save what? 15, 25 seconds? There were plenty of long silents between scenes, etc that can be removed more easily than speeding up a recorded song.

Pretty much all the songs were in alternative keys to the original music, could just be to do with copyright - notice it with loads of stuff, e.g. CSI using U2 music which has come out in different keys. Hadn't considered it being the actual broadcast speed, entirely likely.

Well I cant find of a better reason to speed it up. Still have to figure out why most tv series are sped up in that way. Its been relatively easy to speed up / resample video/audio while keeping pitch for years.

Dont know for sure if From The Sky Down was sped up, just noticed that some things were played back faster.

Just download / buy an online episode and compare the intro tunes. After doing that you will definitely here that most USA stuff is speed up in Europe
  10. Or dont, because its really irritating when you find out
