First listen :

+++ : The ballads. They are the best since Parachutes. All amazing, really.
++ : The transitions between almost every song.
+ : Princess of China is a nice experimentation.

- : I'm not sure the songs that could be big stadiums hit are the best
-- : knowing almost all the songs before listening to the album as a whole made my listening less enjoyable than it could have been.

MX/Hurts Like Heaven is a million times better live than the studio version. I'd say the same about Charlie Brown too actually...

- Us Against The World (expected a really boring song)
- U.F.O. (expected a Enoish electrical composition)
- Up In Flames (It's like a lullaby keeping you awake)
- Don't Let It Break Your Heart (very powerfull, expected a 'lovely' acoustic song)
- Up with the Birds (totally didn't except that halfwaythrough thingy)

I almost completely agree with you on everything you said Fabian. I'd just give it a higher grade, like a 7,5.

I almost never like albums at the first time and I don't know all lyrics at the first listen either.
