    Anyway, I agree. It all is quite trippy - and I LIKE that. I gotta say that their artworks and visuals have been excellent (except for the X&Y era) so far, but my favorite are the AROBTTH and MX ones.
  2. The MX album artwork, I think, is their best. I love all the colours and the how the 'Mylo Xyloto' looks.

    In terms of ranking the album, I'd put it 3rd at the moment; slipping in just between Viva la Vida and Parachutes.

  8. A Hopeful Transmission/Don't Let it Break Your Heart appears to be a remidner to Xyloto that life goes on, and that the paradise she dreamed of is not lost. "But then someone will play the right song / And you'll dance again"....there will be another chance to paint the town and dance in the streets with the children. Mylo and Xyloto ended up being, after all, a comma- and not a full stop.

    I think Up With the Birds is Mylo looking back on everything, and also looking into the future. Mylo's as optimistic as the message given to Xyloto in Don't Let it Break Your Heart- "Good things are coming our way" ('Our' being the people as a whole, not him and Xyloto).




    see the way I saw it, Mylo and Xyloto got back together in A Hopeful Transmission, and Don't Let It Break Your Heart is being sung to Xyloto. "come on, baby, don't let it break your heart." Up With The Birds is the peaceful happily ever after tune at the end "and i know one day good things are coming our way." Another thing to back up the DLIBYH idea is that Chris had seen Princess of China being sung back and forth to eachother, which is why he brought in Rhianna, to physically sing that part. I see the whole album being sung back and forth to eachother, with both characters having Chris's voice at some points, Wills in others, and Rhiannas in PoC. But other than that, I couldn't agree more with you, great job, this was an awesome read
  9. I know you guys my shoot me for this, but I think Rush Of Blood is their weakest album. I think it's lacking personality in comparison to their other albums, and I know I'll get a crap load of flaming for that one, but that's just the way I feel.

    I used to hate Coldplay, and my brother would always say "Just give them a chance" so one day I did. I said "Give me all of their albums, and I'll listen to them all and get back to you". I loved Parachutes from the get go, I listened to it over and over, the same with X&Y, the same with Viva La Vida, and I've already listened to MX at least 5 times front to back. Rush Of Blood I listened to once and never went back. One of these days I''ll go back and give it another chance, but for now I can't really understand why people <3 it so much.

    For me, it depends on the day. Of course the past few months ive been waiting for this album, and I've been so excited for it that I'm not gonna rank my favorite albums right now. Usually though, it is:

    1. X&Y
    2. Viva
    3. (tie) Parachutes and Rush of Blood

    Somedays I really love Parachutes. Some days I really love Rush of Blood (especially the song, Amsterdam, Green Eyes, and Warning Sign). I usually always love X&Y. Viva is weird for me some days... even though I have a '42' shirt from the concert I went to, I don't particularly listing the song as a favorite... I wanted a LITii shirt, then I found out they were womens....had to return it lol.

    Who knows where MX is going to rank in about 2-3 months...

    It's not out yet, comes out next week.

    Here's a thought I had. I think the band should pull a Pink Floyd and perform this album front to back every night, and then play a second set of hits and fan favourites and stuff. It would retain the concept of the narrative in a live setting, and I think the track order on this album just WORKS as it is. It'd just be cool to see a modern band do that as well.

    Princess Of China is currently my favourite song on the album!
