so fo example if i rank Streets as 1 and One as 2 i might put Bad on 11th??? supposing i think there are 8 songs better? ... no way hehehe

We don't care if the first ten songs of your Top 100 are U2 songs.

  3. it would be so hard to choose the 10s to put in the first ten positions hehehe

anyway number 1 ... Imagine - John Lennon
  4. One of the last songs that didn't made it on to my list.
  5. It will certainly be on mine.

For some reason I only listen to it during November/December.
  6. I've made my list - now I just have to type it.

  7. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why one should make long lists on Notepad/Word/etc and then just copy-paste it
  8. I have one question. The songs that have been extensively covered, like All Along The Watchtower, My Way or House Of The Rising Sun (for ex.), will count as one when the final list is made? I mean, for example, lots of people here love the U2 cover of All Along The Watchtower but others will prefer Jimi Hendrix's version or even the original by Bob Dylan. The same goes for My Way by Elvis/Frank Sinatra, Stand By Me by Ben E. King/UB40 and lots of other classic tracks.

So, my question is, if one of those songs has 210 points when covered by artist X and 350 when performed by artist Y, will it appear twice on the general result list or will it appear one time with 560 points?
  9. Interesting point: I am having a dilemma with "Sweet Jane." I am a huge fan of both the Velvet Underground's version and the Cowboy Junkies' cover.

  10. I'm "old school."

I should scan and paste my hand-written notes to my eventual post.
  11. This was harder than I thought, it was really painful to leave out a lot of beloved songs. I might as well expand on to 100...

By the way, I have noted Hallelujah as a Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley song until the cover-songs issue posted in my previous post is solved. I will edit my post consequently.

The first 3 are my name and surnames initials. It's a pun but they're actually my favorites - I think that's pretty special

And yes, Like A Song is a lot higher actually, but I just wanted to end my list with it
