1. Sergio, you are "crew" so I suppose you can get away with it but I count SIX U2 songs in your top 50!
  2. Fuck. You are right! No matters if I'm crew or not, I'll have to fix that... hmmm 'tis going to be tough. Which one to get rid off? I suppose it will be Heartland or AIWIY...

EDIT. It's fixed now, I discovered I had also left out another Beatles song so I've substituted Help! by Heartland and moved Like A Song to its actual place in the list. I definitely want to make a Top 100 list now hahaha...
  3. Wow. the song "Like a Song" made a big jump in just a few hours! I thought you had originally ranked it quite low.

My list too has changed in the past 24 hours (thougth of a few more songs).

Still haven't gotten around to typing my list yet. Maybe I should rethink my "old school" approach to these things.
  4. 1.) Walk On - U2
    2.) Fix You - Coldplay
    3.) All I Want Is You - U2
4.) Lovers In Japan - Coldplay
    5.) Hysteria - Muse

8.) Three Little Birds - Bob Marley

The songs that have been extensively covered, like All Along The Watchtower, My Way or House Of The Rising Sun (for ex.), will count as one when the final list is made? I mean, for example, lots of people here love the U2 cover of All Along The Watchtower but others will prefer Jimi Hendrix's version or even the original by Bob Dylan. The same goes for My Way by Elvis/Frank Sinatra, Stand By Me by Ben E. King/UB40 and lots of other classic tracks.

    List them like:
John Mayer Trio - Wait Until Tomorrow (original by Jimi Hendrix Experience)

So, my question is, if one of those songs has 210 points when covered by artist X and 350 when performed by artist Y, will it appear twice on the general result list or will it appear one time with 560 points?

I will need a talk with Bart on that.
  6. Fabian and I decided we will list them as two separate songs.
So when Song X by Artist A gets 20 points and the same Song by Artist B will get 50 points. The Song played by Artist B will end up higher
If you prefer the song by Artist B more than you do by Artist A just put it higher and by his/her/their name
  7. It's logical, but it will make very-covered songs to appear lower than they should. Anyway, it's your contest, not mine I will change the Jeff Buckley thing now.

EDIT. Now that I think of it, that means that one could have the same song twice or thrice in his/her list?
  8. For example I dont like Hallelujah by Cohen but the Buckley version is good, so I would choose Buckley's version above Cohen's. To me it sounds like a different song. And you could indeed choose 100 versions by 100 different artist of the same song in your list (But that shows you havent got a very large taste of music )
